You know, I always wanted to know what those pod-like things were in the Japanese arcades. Well now I know they are Panoramic Optical Displays or P.O.D. for short. Now one has come to the U.S., possibly coming to a Dave & Busters near you. It's called Star Wars Battle Pod and it's pretty cool. Watch the vid.
In one way, work taking up so much of my life this summer was a good thing. I managed to remain out of the loop on the whole Gamergate thing until I wandered back to Pixlbit, and even here I managed to avoid most of it, as well. And then my Facebook feed lit up yesterday with the cancellation of Anita Sarkeesian's talk at USU and an article from The Atlantic. That article really hit home, and I'll discuss that further down.

I apologize that I havent been on to be able to read yalls blogs like normal. Things have been severally crazy. I have had to work crazy shifts and suffer lack of sleep and sickness. I wouldnt a been a nice person and the last thing I want is to come on here and treat people I care about and take as a family like shit. All I have been doing? Watching youtube vids and laying around in my spare time. Ive been gaming very lil mostly on my 3DS when I do. The good thing is, Im finally 100% better, have actually got to sleep, and work is normal again. Even though Ive been sick I did pick up a few games.

Here's my new gaming rig Work PC. :) I wonder if they'd notice if I took it home and brought my old one in to replace it? LOL

Rochelle stares at coach, shakes her head, and slaps Coach. What do you mean "who cares"? Granted we didn't get off to the best start with them in the beginning, but we could work together "oh" and by the way, they are all still human too. Sometimes I wonder if you still are. Nick can no longer control himself and bursts out laughing. Look at the bright side Coach, at least you will be the second biggest Zombie out there. You might even take over the top spot if you should decide to eat a tank or two. I gonna eat me a smart mouth second rate gambler if he doesn't wise up. Second rate gambler, now that's funny claims Ellis from his vantage point. Coach looking embarresed turns to Rochelle and says "damn girl you hit pretty hard for a prissy little girl." Call me that again and I will show you how prissy I am. Our group is not aware that other group of survivors are watching what transpires between them as a Spitter is preparing to launch an attack. Off in the distance you here the singing of an infected, is it a witch or is it a vamp? Will the troops be able to withstand a three sided attack and will the other survivors aid them or turn on them?
Hey folks, are you ready for another batch of game reviews to read? Well you’d better get used to it; because with Christmas coming up, I’ll be doing lots more game reviews for a while. Anyway, I hope you do get a chance to click on the links and read my reviews and maybe even post a comment or two. I’d appreciate it. I know there are a bit more iPad games in this batch, but keep in mind that I was on vacation to Disney World in between posting these reviews. But I promise my next batch will have more console stuff. One tough thing about reviewing games this time of year is that it’s harder to play the games I want, like Hyrule Warriors and Smash Bros., because I have to review other things. But I’m not complaining. People who get to write game reviews semi-professionally like this have NO RIGHT to complain! So anyway, let’s get on to the reviews!
Sort of. I was really, really busy over the summer and also pretty stressed, so photography suffered as well as gaming. I did get some cool stuff, but it would take me forever to paste them into this entry, so I'm just going to put in links to my Flickr page, as they've made it a pain in the ass to post them in here.
It was announced last week that Assassin's Creed Unity would run on 900p and 30 FPS on both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One to "avoid controversy." That is a stupid reason, but watching the latest Jimquisition showed me a follow up statement I missed, where they claimed 30 FPS is more cinematic and the amount of pixels should not matter. These statements are dumb on their own, but I'm not going into that. I'm going into a past of this game where only one conclusion can be drawn: Unity is a development cycle of contradictions.
Hello Pixlbitonians! I, Blake "Terrible Punman" Turner have moved into a new place with a friend! It's fucking awesome! The room is a touch small though, and I don't have a bed. I have a queen sized matress that has to be against the wall when I'm not using it or I can't open the door or sit at my computer. But hey, rent is 230 a week (115 because I'm splitting rent), and I HAVE MY OWN SPACE!
Guys! Let me just admit something right now. I fucking hate portable gaming. I don't mean 3DS or Vita. I mean iPhone an iPad. I tried KOTOR on iPad and hated it. I never want to play a full console game on there ever again. Give me a controller any day. The only games I am able to honestly enjoy are card deck building games. I can't explain it. It just works really well, and I don't play card games. My brain just all of a sudden started enjoying games on iPad more than PC or console for some reason. I can also do this while watching sports or TV shows on the couch without really focusing too much on the game. I think this is the formula. Gaming on iPad is great for when you are distracted with things like commercial breaks on TV or Sports games.

1. Pokemon Trading Card Game
Honestly. I've never really been entirely into Pokemon games at all. I've played a few but didn't collect'em all and I got bored of the combat very quickly. This game however is the digital version of the table top game you play with card packs you can actually buy. It's a bit complicated and intense and I am addicted to it. It's not as glorious as Hearthstone, but it has animations that do the trick. I can't stop playing. I'm currently just playing offline in Trainer mode but it's pretty good. I like this game better than the handheld game. I think it's really great. It's also available for PC via flash browser. It's also FREE!
I did what I could but I am getting a divorce. Its not something I wanted before but I am tired of it and want to move on. I am not happy and neither is she. It is both of our fault. Neither of us have been good to each other and we are not that compatible. That is at least what she says. It doesn't have anything to do with video games but it does bug me how she hates gaming with a passion and pays remotely no interest to hangout with me while I do play.
I've been playing a few things on PC lately and there are a couple I haven't talked about yet.
So today Gamestop is giving out some codes for Pokemon X/Y for a Shiny Gengar and well I went and they were out. Kinda disappointed so I was wondering, if anyone goes to Gamestop, can they get me 2 codes? I need one for my brother and me. I don't normally ask help like this but my GS told me they don't know if they'll bring more. If anyone decides to help, dm them to me here on Pixlbit. Thanks.
You know Pixlbit Monday isn’t starting out as I hoped. First I’m supposed to do something another person could have done on their own, didn’t, and now expects me to do it with a classic response of “it’s easy”. Yeah if it was easy YOU WOULD HAVE DONE IT ALREADY! Then I look down at my laptop’s charging cable and it’s frayed. Apparently part of it got dragged under my chair. Great. I went on Apple, and Best Buy and yep that’s $79 I have to spend on a replacement.
