That's a lot of reading for 10 bucks or less. They sound like books I'd like too.
I really want to write some game reviews and post them, but I've put them off so long that it's hard to get started. Worse, the FXX Every Simpsons Ever marathon is taking up about 93% of my attention. I can recite these episodes line by line, but I still like being able to see them. Besides, all I care to watch it through is season 8, so there's only a couple more days left.
my wife decided we had to try 2 of the 4 flavours in the contest so we did.
Happy Freaking Friday Pixlbit Nation! Oh I am so happy to see this day because there is a ton of Simpsons on right now*
Sunday may have been blah but Monday was much better. My friend was able to log into Xbox Live and we played EDF 2025 most of the day with a couple hour break for me to play some Silent Hill: Book of Memories with daftman here at Pixlbit. Then I switched my schedule around so I could get some handheld play in the wee hours instead of my usual blogging and what not, which I moved to the daytime right after breakfast. All together, it made for a game filled day. My only regret is that I didn't get in any Demon's Souls like I wanted to for the Pixlbit Club, but after Sunday, I didn't want to do much else than lots of EDF 2025 co-op.
Currently you can get the following games for under 4 bucks with more to come.
The Simpsons will always be my favorite show. I grew up on them and as I got older, found out they're even better when I got older. And with that marathon starting Friday, I can't wait to rewatch Bart set camping traps around the house for Homer, Skinner to lie about steamed hams, and the burlesque house song.
The more I look up about cat breeds, the more interested I am in what I think was the breed of my former cat, Clinger: Bombay. I always swore up and down he acted more like a puppy than a cat, throughout his life. He was always cuddly and playful and surprisingly athletic, willing to jump great heights for tennis balls. I was sad we had to have him declawed due to his penchant for climbing very high walls, including the very jagged stones of our fireplace that could have really hurt him had he fallen down the wrong way. Plus, he was an affectionate attention-seeker, much like people think of dogs. He was named Clinger for the way he'd cling on my shirt as a kitten when we got him from the shelter. And he really was damn clingy. In a good way. Everything about him matches the description these experts give of Bombays, who basically describe the breed as cat-dogs:
Sunday was setup new Xbox 360s day. I got a new R2D2 console and gave my friend my old Xbox 360 Slim who used it to replace his Halo 3 Edition Xbox 360 with the broken drive. Then we had to go through the transfer of data, purchases and licenses. This went well except for one vital hiccup.
I have been apprehensive about diving into the more recent 3D Zelda games. I am not quite sure exactly what the reason was, but I know that it has to do with what I have read and heard on the internet. I remember hearing complaints about how much the games seem to hold your hand and how long it takes for Link to recieve the sword. These things have always pushed me back to A Link to the Past and I never really moved past it.
I'm over being here. I know, first world problems. "You don't have a bedroom, a lot of people don't have a house." Well, fuck you. If you're on this site you probably own a house so stop judging me fuckhead.
Hello fellow people of Pixlbit! It's been a long time since my last post on here. Lately I've just been enjoying what's left of my summer before school starts. I'm going to assume some of you have watched the Gamescom event. I didn't pay too much attention to the event. Just watched some coverage of games that were already announced.
Pixlbit…What Is Up? It is Monday in a warm overcast Southern California, where there is Thunderstorms around the valley, which means it’s going to be a tad bit humid. Blah. Anyways so what is going on with you folks?
Well, this week is the last one before school starts up again, so I guess I better start improving my character stats again. It's been fun using all of my rupees and gold on chickens hidden within the walls of my apartment that that asshole raccoon keeps hiding from me to sell back at a premium, but my character's neck fat is starting to become bothersome, so I hope to earn at least +10 stamina and +5 strength tomorrow with that gym sidequest. I might also just walk around the village, since that earns your character skinny points without so much as a mini game. Hopefully, I can get that "low fat, lean muscle" character build I've been wanting. I liked the breather the game let me have where I could just runa round eating carnival food and completing mini games, but now it's back to the main quest.
Cary mentioned last week that he had Raphael's all-meat Pizza Hut TMNT promotional cheesy bites pizza from Pizza Hut, and I said I'd try one, so I did. I went with Mikey's, which is topped with smoked ham, pepperoni, jalapenos, and pineapples cause he's the "jokester, so weird ingredients I guess. My overall impression is that it was good, but the jalapenos made it a bit too hot and I couldn't always taste all the ingredients because of it. I'm glad I went with Mikey's though, cause I really liked the combination when it wasn't overpowered by heat. Cary said he went with Raph's cause he's the best turtle, but my middle name is Michael and I'd say Mikey is the best in this new version. No, I haven't seen the movie, but the other turtles in the trailer get mentioned as "the leader," "the rebel," "the smart one," but Mikey just gets "Mikey." Why? Cause he's awesome and his parts in the trailer are the only reason I might eventually rent the movie on DVD. He seemed like the only one adding real personality to the proceedings. I could be wrong, but I'm not about to pay theater prices to find out.
As for the cheesy bites gimmick, I'd be fine with just a stuffed cheese crust, which would serve the same purpose for me. I could just rip it off if I wanted to dip it and the pizza would be easier to hold when eating with a normal crust. I get that it's intended for people to share and dip, but honestly, I'd be just as pissed if someone took cheesy bites off my piece as I would if they ripped part of a normal cheesy crust. Oh and I got my pizza katana cut, which just means it came in four slices.
Last Friday, one of the worst (yet most productive) summer work sessions concluded at my school district just in time for the next school year (which should start Aug. 18). Somehow against the odds - less help than previous summers, a shorter summer due to the snow days, and numerous construction jobs getting in our way - we finished all the floor work, carpet cleaning and detail work. I hope we're in better shape next year. I liked the day shift hours (not so much the extra money I had to shell out for breakfast or lunch; I only need two meals during the school year) although I rarely took advantage of it to go anywhere aside from gaming or watching movies.
So I went a bought me the Sea Green 2DS yesterday and let me say I love it. Its small like original 3DS was but its actually really comfortable and easier in my opinion to hold. It also feels lighter compared to 3DS XL. I also love the fact that there is no side scroll button to bug the fuck out of me with the 3D effect. I hated the 3D on the previous systems. Actually I hate 3D on anything really but thats just me. For something priced on the cheaper side for lack of 3D and smallness its actually worth the 129.99. Ive been playing on it non stop since I got it oh and surprise, have not dropped it once yet *knock on wood*. I dropped my old 3DS several times during its lifespan with me.
