So like last year I decided once again to express my thoughts on E3. Again I'll look at Nintendo because well...it's in my user name (say what!? And here I thought I liked Microsoft!) Anyways I really liked some of the announcements and others...well we'll get into that. But for now here is a list of pros and cons

..I actually meant to get a lot of things started or done in or around Spring-ish time I think...Although I kinda forgot to mention in previous logs and think I might be able to finally get to finishing that surprise I had for PixlBit.(But ended up having a crapload of delays along the way...)But yes..Recently was with family and celebrated both my Mom's and a cousin's graduation..Aside from that I also took a week/weekend.(I believe it was before then..)To set up the PSP Vita I recently got, along with 16GB memory card and a couple of games.(Pictured)

Hey Pixlbit! I hope everyone has started off their week on a good note. Well, today's the day. The start of E3! Today the Xbox and Playstation conference was shown and I was impressed. Some people weren't but that's alright because we still have a few more days of great gaming coverage to see. A lot of games have been revealed so I will just list the ones that I was looking forward to.

Sony E3: After a hour in because I missed most of it.

After sleeping the whole day away I missed most of Sony's E3 conference. With that aside I did see some things that got me interested. Since this is already a late entry I'll make it a short editorial, also because there were really two things that I'm hyped about. Anyways, two things that got my attention:

I was chilling watching my twitter feed when Mothman commented that every year he gets excited about E3, only to be disappointed that all the games are about people shooting each other.  I responded that that is why I mostly play ramshackle unpolished indie PC games.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I love shooting people too, but I gave up waiting for consoles to dazzle me.  I’m just not the target audience.  I mean, I love games like Skyrim, and Left 4 Dead, and Red Dead Redemption, and many other AAA games.  But I’ve just kind of burned out on shooters.  That doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with them, I just have played them up to here, and am waiting for them to do something new.  Now, I haven’t played Titanfall, and I heard that brings a lot of new things to the table (except for the aesthetic, which is bland as a Saltine cracker).  But as I watched the show open up today with Microsoft’s conference and they showed the new COD, all I could think of was, is this Halo?  Modern Warfare was an amazing game, and some of the other iterations of COD have been okay (though not warranting their success), but why are shooters become more and more this one, homogenized Halo-esque sci-fi thing, bereft of ideas?  I am excited for the Halo collection they announced, I would love to play Halo 2 again (the last place I enjoyed the franchise) but I guess I need an Xbone first.  Maybe I’ll get one though.  Who knows.  But what I’m really complaining about is the fact that all of these shooters seems to be melting into one generic experience – it used to be COD was about WW2 or Modern Quake-like gunplay, and then you had Halo for sci-fi, and then you had Battlefield for more war like experiences.  Now they all seem to be congealing into one lame sci-fi vision with the same dropships, same guns (didn’t that gun in COD today look like it was Halo’s assault rifle?), and same little cut scenes.  Sigh.  Anyway, that’s where I’m at.

Well good morning Pixlbiticans and happy day of big events going on in a convention center in the land of Clippers. Yes I know many of you are hitting refresh on your computers hoping to catch it at the right moment when the first presentation starts. I’m not going to lie last year I watched Sony’s big presentation and of course tweeted about it. Sorry folks who follow me on Twitter who got a lot of “Well that’s interesting” and “yeah I’m buying one on release day”. My favorite was a comment about how ugly the PS4 is, and I still stand by that. Anyways I hope you folks enjoy what you see/read/hear over the next couple of days and whatever platform you play on, anyone who enjoys games will come out as winners.

My Very Own Panzerhund

I want my very own Panzerhund. A Kampfhund would do nicely as well, but a Panzerhund would be the best. . . I found out that the word "panzer" means armored, so the Panzerhunds in Wolfenstein: New Order are the big all metal ones. "kampf" means fight or struggle, so kampfhund means fighting dog. They are the partially armored real dogs in the game. The one's you have to fight most often. Oh yeah, and then there's swinehund which just means pig dogs. There are no pig dogs in the game, you just get called that frequently by the Nazi soldiers. German lesson over. Now to how I played Wolfenstein the last two days.

E3 is tomorrow. I just got my new (used) 92 Honda Accord in Navy Blue or darker today, when my parents dropped it off. I also just got finished with my Maymester project for the L.A. trip. Which we thought we had done a while ago, but ... it's a long, furiously angering story.

We know we will see Halo Guardians, Uncharted, Sunset Overdrive, Far Cry 4, Batman: Arkham Knight, and so on at E3. I am nearly content with what I saw of Witcher 3 and Destiny but games like Far Cry 4 has to have a big reveal if its truely coming this year. Uncharted and Halo Guardian are way up there though but I don't expect to hear everything about them since they have another E3 presence in the future.  I will start off with Final Fantasy VII remake. I am a huge fan of the game but in some ways I want it to come to just have closure. I feel it will come be it five to 10 years from now or not but its a waiting game. Of all the remakes that continue to happen, it is the one that people clamor for the most and the most deserving. With that said, its not really ever on my mind because I am not expecting it anytime soon. It is a no-brainer as cash cow and if Square Enix is listening as they said they now are, they will deliver it at some point.
