Despite having a PS4 and loving the time I'm having when I'm on it, I am still very much attached to my PS3. At the start of the month, I was obsessed with Dragon's Crown (I want to give it another run through as another class). I'll probably have a review of that sometime soon.
It's funny how when moving up the systems by date, I also move up on how much I like them. I never owned a Genesis, but I got to play it a lot as a kid between going to friends and family members' homes. It was always a good time. So here's my top 10 Genesis games, some are multiplatform, but I played these on the Genesis so that's what matters.
So now that it's the holidays, I've finally decided to investigate what my new laptop can do in terms of running games.
When the PS4 launched, there wasn't much games that I would have gotten excited for. Watchdogs, probably the most anticipated next generation game, was delayed until next year. Hell I even pre-ordered the game because I was that excited; imagine my heart breaking when hearing the news. So my only choices where Killzone: Shadowfall which had a cool looking story trailer and Battlefield 4 in which I have fond memories of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Two weeks later I finally decided to pick up a copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts. So lately I have been knee deep into three military first person shooters and here are my thoughts on these overly macho games.

Tomb Raider was one of my favorite games this year.
I absolutely loved exploring the nooks and crannies of the island; ravenously hunting and tracking down gear for XP and salvage for upgrades; and the visceral, brutal, satisfying combat. Though the story and acting were nothing special, and I wasn't keen on the QTEs or tunnel-style playable cutscene sequences, I adored the game overall and have beaten it several times.
Firstly, anyone wondering about my past two blogs, I deleted them. I had an argument with someone that got out of hand and got the attention of the staff. Honestly, I acted like an idiot and shouldn't have done what I did anyway, and we were just two people who believed different things, and were passionate about it. I don't resent him or anything.
This video was really good ripping super fast through all the major issues about graphics in video games. See if you can keep up. I gotta watch it again to get it all.
I don't know why no one bothered to tell me that there was an online game that teaches you different languages, but Merry Christmas to those of you who didn't know.
November is over. I completed Nanowrimo for the 4th time. It was... a thing. I think I wrote the worst story I've yet written for nanowrimo. It was a wreck. A mess. A hot mess even. No.. wait... it was cold.
What do I mean by power? Not too much but Playstation Live is a pretty incredible feature and one that is underestimated as a major function of the PS4. The great thing about this is how it binds us together. Its cool being able to peak in peoples' homes that bought the PS4. I have watched countless streams and came across so many demographics. I have seen some hilarious comments and of course plenty of trolls.
As I stated earlier this week, I wanted to kick off my Indie/Small Game marathon with The Wolf Among Us: Episode 1 and Gone Home. I've completed both, and I have some thoughts on both.

Yeah, Minecraft finally arrived on the PS3 today after being available on the Xbox 360 for the past two/three years. My niece is especially excited because she only has a PS3 at the moment; while her cousin and I have been playing on the Xbox 360. However the Playstation (PS3/PS4/PS Vita) versions were promised on November 17th, the launch date of the PS4. That was one of the things that kind of bummed me out when I looked up the PS4's PSN store and saw that it wasn't there. The delay of the Vita and PS4 kind of makes me hope that there is some sort of second screen/remote functionality in the works between both versions. Hopefully 4J studios will give us more information down the road for the Vita and PS4 versions of Minecraft.
