My day was busier than I expected, and I am running on very little sleep. At least my dentist complimented me on my flossing and brushing though, so that appointment went a lot quicker than usual, since my teeth were already pretty well taken care of before going in. It was nice hearing praise and seeing smiling faces after having just come from a fairly tense car ride with my mom. I love her, but she drives me up a damn wall sometimes.
I had plans for doing a review this month but with the holiday business murdering my coworkers and myself I've been able to find the energy to write one. I may get around to reviewing the mod in qustion for Ultimate Doom for a post-Christmas update but I need to play the game, as long as I feel brave this week to actually play more of it. So aside from the holiday drain and attempts to getting a shiny Furfrou on Pokemon X I've been playing another game I just got from the Steam sale, Shadowrun Returns. The game is fantastic and there's a community writing modules for the game, including a fan sequel to Deadman's Switch (the official module that came with the game) and an alpha build of a SNES Shadowrun reboot. And this is where inspiration comes in for me.
Just got one final Christmas present for you all: one last batch of reviews for the year. Please click on and read as many as you can, and maybe post a comment or two. I’d appreciate it. And if you’d still like to participate in my Pretend Christmas Present Party from last time, you’re more than welcome to here as well. Just post a pretend Christmas present you’d like to give me in the comments section, and when I reply, I’ll give you a pretend Christmas present, too! OK, let’s get on to the reviews!
A couple of days ago I finished both Brothers and Walking Dead S2, Ep 1. I've been working like crazy lately so I haven't been able to update my blog like I wanted to, BUT I do want to give some quick impressions. I'll probably do a full review for Walking Dead but I'll still post my initial gut thoughts here.
Saturday was the first day of Winter, the Winter Solstice, so I thought about what wintry games I could play this week and went out a bought a few and played them while drinking some First Snow Ale. Read on for the results.
Ok not the definitive list. Just my humble opinion and before anyone gets butt hurt and goes “You fucking moron, why wasn’t <INSERT GAME NAME HERE> in the list, IDIOT!”, this is just a list of the games I played. I haven’t played The Last of Us, Stanley Parable or Bioshock Infinite and thus they can’t be put on the list, assuming I would of liked them anyway, which in Bioshock Infinite’s case is doubtful. I’m keeping each entry succinct because ...I can’t be arsed and a lot of the games I played this year came out years previous, so some game making the list is purely academic, meaning the list should probably be renamed ‘games that came out in 2013, that I liked’. Anyway this is MY 2013 experience.
Posting Troubles/Picture Help?/Introduction to Final 2013 Blog Idea
Let me throw a hypothetical at you for a second:
Hello Pixlbit! Earlier tonight I hit what I like to call the Vinyl Gold Mine at my local Goodwill. Instead of waiting until next week I thought I’d share my bounty now with you good folks (I'm a little giddy)…I also found some gaming related stuff so this blog can be considered a gaming related blog too.
Since my last lil blog that I posted about current events happening in the life of me, somethings have happened, good things might I add!
Well I have a blog written up and no matter how many times I try and post it, it will either post the first paragraph and title or it will say draft at the top with nothing in the big writing area. Anyone else having posting problems tonight or is it just me?
