Dear WildGamesStudios. Please die. Please strap yourself with a bomb and go over to sega and nintendo and take them with you with one foul swoop. Please just stop being complete fucking asshats.
Most of the week, I played Etrian Odyssey Untold. I’m up to level 34 in experience and down to level 12 in the dungeons. I’m playing on easy. Nothing has seriously challenged me except for this one Golem. It was on what I thought was a pretty routine side quest back to one of the earlier levels (the game periodically sends you back to earlier levels to fulfill a request by a townsperson). I was supposed to pick up a treasure but instead got suckered into confronting this giant Golem creature. It tasked me by healing itself every time I got it down to a low level of health. Persistence won out though. I used up all my items to keep my TP (magic points) up so I could activate skills to do the big damage. The fight got me to search in my skills for the highest damage ones for each character. So it helped me focus on the most valuable skills to level up. I almost wanted to raise the difficulty level in the game, but I know everything will get much harder and my progress will slow to a crawl.
So thanks to homelessrook, I've been watching horror movies lately. Jason has been told beforehand that any middle-of-the-night phone calls from me because I'm scared are to be blamed on Larry, lol.
Hey guys! This has been a busy week for me. All is good and hopefully I will be back on track next week. I will post later today on things I got this week and what I am playing. Tommorow the Horror showcase will be up so look for it.
Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) is a famous and important literary figure for many reasons. He helped popularize the short story and turned the horror story genre on its head, creating detective fiction/the mystery genre in the process. But even his tales of terror and the macabre feature much more character depth and motivation than anything else of his time. Horror stories leading up to Poe’s works tended toward mindless brutality, violence, and shock for their own sake. But Poe’s characters grappled with grief, alcoholism, and hatred, to name a few, and often lost their battles and their sanity in the process. Whether the terrible acts and outcomes in the stories are actual occurrences or the delusions of Poe’s tortured narrators is not always clear. Was she buried alive? Was the tell-tale heart actually beating? Of course, pigeonholing Poe into the horror genre would be a mistake. Aside from establishing the mystery genre (which Sir Arthur Conan Doyle readily credited him for), he wrote satires, humorous pieces and hoaxes, poetry, and even contributed to the burgeoning science fiction genre (Jules Verne actually wrote a sequel to Poe’s only complete novel). Speaking of poetry, who isn’t familiar with “The Raven,” no doubt Poe’s most famous work?
This is not a review since I'm still playing a game (honestly a user review on this game from me may be a bit difficult) but I would like to give my first impressions about Pokemon X before you stop hearing from me for another month or so. Pokemon X is amazing!
Hey guys, just here to remind you all that Green Man Gaming is giving away free Steam codes for either Civilization 5 or Mafia 2 when you vote for the Golden Joystick Awards this year! They already ran out once, and they had a bit of downtime where they weren't giving out codes, but now they're back so get 'em while they're hot! Oh, and voting ends tomorrow so get them now! Here's the link: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/joystick/
Why hello Pixlbit, see we made it, It’s Friday, Friday, Gotta Get Down On Friday…(sorry)
Well here’s another blog with links to game reviews I’ve written recently over at GamerDad.com. Please click on and read as many as you can, and post comments, too! I’d really appreciate it. And if you’re wondering what the HECK kind of weirdo nonsense does my blog title mean, well, you’ll just have to keep on reading.
Hey guys, are you easily offended? Then shut your faggot nigger mouth and read.
It's been a crazy couple of weeks for me since work ended for the winter. Just recovering from the FSGW (Folk Society of Greater Washington) Getaway takes about a week. It's less a folk festival and more of a retreat. We have workshops during the day that we can attend (or blow off and sing or jam), mini-concerts ongoing throughout the day, evening concerts Sat and Sun nights (think talent show, but with real talent) that people can sign up for, and all-night sessions in various buildings and around a campfire. The food is terrible, the bunks uncomfortable, and alcohol is forbidden, yet we manage to have a wonderful time anyway.
Hey y'all. I've been meaning to post a blog for some time, I just never could find the time to. A lot of my time is taken up by school, school work, and gaming. I've only really just been checking around and commenting. So a lot has happened in the month since school has started. I'm gonna go ahead and steal rangergirl's format, because it's easy, and I hate work!
So I just got back from the mall, where our Sony store got a PS4 demo unit just yesterday. Spent about a half-hour playing through some games. Here are my thoughts.
If you're like me a huge fan of the Metal Gear series you might also have a craving for merchandise and other awesome stuff related to Snake, Raiden and the whole bunch. Fear not! There's plenty of merch to go around, some might say that there's even a bit too much merch being sold for Metal Gear Solid, but I'll let you be the judge of that.
Includes Birth By Sleep HD remake and RE:Coded video.
