Well, the steam sale is finally over. It did not do as much of a number on my wallet as it has in the past. I think that the quality of this year’s purchases has exceeded what I picked up last steam sale. This season I picked up; Sword of the Stars: The Pit, Monaco, Evoland, Gunpoint, The Swapper, Ys I and II chronicles, and Antichamber. I am excited to play them all, and I have actually spent an hour or so with Evoland and it is a very fun distraction. My steam catalog is becoming more and more overwhelming, and I do not expect to work through it anytime soon. I have gotten to the point that I keep my steam backlog separate from my console backlog and even keep my handheld backlog separate from the other two. This allows me the ability to focus on one far more manageable mountain of games that I would like to play.
I'm back from vacation now and fully decompressed,as I finally got a full night of sleep last night. Feels like I was away longer, but it was just a week. I had limited Wi-Fi at my sister's place so I missed out on a lot of stuff. Playing catch up with all the Comic-Con insanity[thank God for YouTube!] as there was a lot of great info. Felt really good to just sit down and do some real gaming last night. I did not come back with any physical games, but several cards to redeem. Ended up getting Far Cry 3:Blood Dragon,Hotline Miami, and Retro City Rampage for PS3. For Steam I bought The Cave,iBomber Attack, and Omerta:City Of Gangsters. For the 360 it was all pinball tables for Pinball FX2[the 3 Star Wars tables,Plants Vs. Zombies, and the Core pack which includes Pasha,Secrets Of The Deep, and Rome]. So I will have plenty to keep me busy until GTAV comes out. It's good to be back, although there was no escape from the heat on vacation. It was every bit as hot in Nashville as it is here. Only ventured out into it a few times. May tell you about all that tomorrow. It was just good to get away for a week. Makes the summer feel better.......
I am looking at getting a better headset for my PS3 and 360. Any suggestions?
Hey pixlbit earlier i posted a free download for the 360 & Ps3 a HD Texture Pack upgrade so heres the comparison Yargz wated a comparison so here you go my man enjoy!!
Whoever invented Google+ should be set on fire, have their eyelids stapled together and then have random parts of his body run over by a tank. Whoever decided to link it with youtube deserves to be drowned in the urine of someone with urinary infection.
Though I have given up games, my dream of PS3's outselling 360's has FINALLY come true. 360 will be the loser of this generation! Check the stats on Vgchartz.com. Just finally...
Damn you, RPGMAKER VX ACE & Dragon’s Dogma! Where did my time go? The bad news is all of you think I’m dead. The good news is I might actually have a working demo for my rpg soon. It will include the first two or three boss fights as well as the hospital, theatre, and police department as interactive locations.
As a warning here is what to expect
1. Plays like a classic “JRPG” complete with a first person turn based Dragon Warrior battle-system.
2. Read everything because the story is pretty dense. If you speed through the text windows you’ll miss a lot. However, if you can still enjoy playing the game without knowing the whole convoluted plot nonsense good for you!
3. Be warned this game delves into some pretty dark & sexual territory sometimes. Y’know, one of the benefits of not having to answer to a big publisher like EA or Activision. Aka no, I did not even try to create a game that caters to everyone all at once.
4. If you don’t like my attempt at an rpg, it’s cool! This is a decidedly old school game and I understand why some people might be offended by some of its’ content.
I suppose it’s been a while since I actually posted a blog of what I’ve actually been doing and playing lately, so I figured I’d just do an update of what’s been up with me as of lately.
Hey guys, I made an electric guitar cover of the song Wake Up from Mass Effect 3. There's like nine tracks in there, so fucking appreciate it!
For my last blog in my series on the characters in Project X-Zone, an action-strategy RPG on 3DS, we’ll look at the cast from SEGA’s games. Of all the three companies’ games listed in Project X-Zone, I probably know the least about the SEGA roster. So this will be a rather short and uninformative blog. Maybe some of you folks can fill in the gaps for me in the comments section?
There is obviously far too much positivity on the internet, so to counterbalance it, I thought I'd bring some bile and vitriol to the table. Some games are just terrible, and it's up to us as gamers to collectively shame the artistic visions of those far more talented than ourselves.
Well its late and instead of rewriting all this in my own words I am simply reposting what was at the Borderlands 2 group page on facebook. These were anounced at an event in Australia on the 17th. I am actually excited and distraught about the lv cap raise. Just barely got my Siren to lv 60, and I still got three more characters sitting at 50 and my psyco is only lv 32.
Anyway here is the news.
I have a tendency to be a negative person online. I don't know why, I just find it more amusing to write like this. If you met me in real life you'd probably be amazed by how positive I am. Actually, that's a lie. I'm a negative person in real life too. But I'm not as overwhelmingly negative as I am when I write!
Dandichu has given us something great to use to chat on, so Im hopeing more join it soon. Im on there and so is asrealasitgets. This will def help with communicating more since the site doesnt have forums to use.
If I posted anything dumb, stupid, or idiotic please ignore it. I went the bar with a few friends last night and drank more than I should have, lol! Im gonna work on replying to comments today and hopefully post a blog or two. Thanks you to everyone who reads my blogs, I appreciate it greatly! I love writing and getting to write about video games on here makes me soo happy. Yall keep me encouraged everyday, Thank you ^_^
The App Store is drowning in runners, so any new game in that genre needs to do something to stand out from the crowd. Knitted Deer does that with its aesthetic. It's like one of the dreaded Christmas sweaters come to life. I can't tell you anymore than what I've heard about it since I just downloaded it myself, but here's a review. Sounds like a good time waster and I'll try just about anything for free. The price dropped from 99 cents to free just this morning, and no telling how long it will last either. So give it a quick try before the developers change their minds. I bet you've never played a knitted game before!
So I won a contest over on Dragon1989's blog regarding a %15 off redeem code for brucelee.com. Here's the thing: I only won cause I was the only one to comment I think, and while I'd love to buy Enter the Dragon to get myself acquainted with the man's work, I'm really trying to watch my finances, and the things I'd use the code on would probably be cheaper without shipping anyway.
First off, let me just say how insane 2013 looks. This is one of the craziest Falls I have seen in a long time, for me at least. So I thought I'd put the games that look at least good enough to pick up around day one for now for the rest of the year.
I know a lot of us have made various blog posts about exchanging Friend Codes, meeting up for things like Animal Crossing, playing Mario Kart or for team play in Ragnarok Odyssey/FFXIV:ARR etc. I made a forum if anybody's interested. I figure it'd be a little easier to add people and plan fun events and giveaways if all the info was in one place. ^.~
