Ok so as I mention in my profile, I was born and raised in the Republic of Ireland and moved to the United States in late 2010. For this reason, growing up I was privy to both great and terrible music from the UK.

This video needs to be seen, I didnt know the full extent of the tweets that a MS exective had posted until this video. I knew about the whole "deal with it" ordeal but I think the manner in which he did it needs to be shown. Snee forgive me! I know you talked about this in your blog today but I found this video and had to share!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been a while since I pimped my stuff at Rotorob, so rather than provide you guys with fresh new content, I'm just going to regurgitate the crusty month old reviews I haven't posted here yet.

One thing you don't have to ask is if I'm lazy. I think this is proof enough I am. TGIF mofos! It's finally sunny again, so I'm going for my walk/jog/run!I'll still be commenting and such when I get on throughout the day.

Last night at approximately 12:30AM I beat Bioshock Infinite. While I didn't think it was the mind-blowing affair I had been led to believe from reviews and friends, I have to admit it shed a different light on a subject that has been hashed and re-hashed throughout gaming's history. I don't want to talk about what that is (that's a lie, I really want to talk about what that is, but I can't without giving away too many spoilers), but I will say this: When is a door not a door?

Good morning, PixlBit.  Just wanted to say that I need to put my Quest to Play Through all the Final Fantasy Games on hold for this week.  I had a lot on my plate this week, and let my next installment slip away.  As a holdover, I'll be posting a review I wrote of one of the best SNES RPGs: Earthbound.

Well, Easter has come and passed, which means that another round of atrocious DLC has come our way. Want to see who the worst offenders are? Click here. God, I feel like one of those retarded internet ad guys. However, I really believe in plus10damage, and want to do well, which means advertising the hell out of it. If your worried about this giving you a virus or whatever, don't worry. Plus10Damage articles are essentially 1up blogs, but more polished and entertaining.

Since my comment on PB & Jason turned into its own monster, I decided to post it as a separate blog entry. Mainly because there was a lot of great stuff in the podcast, and I don't want to clog up their front page article with my ramblings. I was typing as I listened, so if something doesn't make sense, blame them for jumping around to different subjects lol. Let's get started!

Dialing Back the Negativity: Roger Ebert vs.TMNT NES

Well, my last blog was a bit negative, and I really shouldn't have complained about things, as it wasn't near as bad a day for me as others, I just needed to type it out as a form of catharsis in some weird way. Truth be told, I was seeing the silver linings by the time I wrote it, just needed an outlet for some odd reason. But now, I'd rather share some laughs. Like this video where we find out the recently passed, anti "games as art" film critic, Roger Ebert, did in fact play a game: TMNT on NES. Even better, it's in a movie he thinks is "so bad," which itself is about video games ... and at some point not shown here, the Power Glove.Last thirty seconds of this are quite fun.

I bought this during the THQ Sale on PSN and I have to say Im really happy with my buy. It kept me entertained the entire time and was fun to play, I normally get annoyed with timed button type stuff but it really worked well with the costumes. The buttons normally would change but occasionally you would catch a row of the same button. The costumes also had some different button schemes to them. For example the Knight and the Unicorn were quick button presses, the Ninja and Robot were timed ones, the Vampire and French Fry was button mashers, and the Statue of Liberty and Eyeball didnt evolve buttons for there main attack, you had to push the left analog forward. Here is a list of the costumes and there attack type/focus

So I am finally back(ish)! A lot has been going on...to the point where I feel like I could be going crazy...in a good and a bad way. So what is all this stuff that has been going on? Well I shall tell all! Also I have read all 300 something notifications I had of everyones blogs. Oh yeah..I am that cool! Sorry I didn't respond to all of them. If I had it would have taken me a lot longer to finally post my blog up since I wasn't typing one till I finished that list!

Well, I found out earlier on facebook that film critic Roger Ebert passed away today. I was a big fan of the "At the Movies" show growing up; PBS didn't make it easy to figure out what times it was coming on each week, but I always made sure I found out. I've been told I was able to read the newspaper at a very early age, and loved reading the Movies section the most. I know this is a gaming website, but I think of all media, I'm most obsessed with movies to this day, and it was always fun and interesting to read and hear his candid insight. I'll leave you with a link to some text my favorite internet reviewer, The Cinema Snob, had to say about the man:

I've been meaning to post my first blog here ever since 1UP died and I started an account. I know that I wasn't all that active on 1UP over the past few years, but im hoping things will change here.Lately i've been adding games to my collection, but that has proven to be quite tedious since I have a collection of 1000s.

1912 vs. 2013

The 1912 featured in Bioshock Infinite is not too far off from the society that was prevalent in the U.S. at the same time. A quick read of the history books or Wikipedia can confirm it and I hope many people who are playing this amazing game will take some time to read about pre-WW1 America. An age of progress, an age where Evangelical religion was dominant and a time where people who weren't WASPs were at a disadvantage in some cases.

Many of you here may know that 1UP.com is in the process of winding down - a site that's been something of a home for me for the past three-and-a-half years. When I first started blogging there in August 2009, I owned a mere 71 NES games and had set forth to blog about each and every one of them; today, 140+ games and 90+ reviews later, my NES collection is now at over 500 titles, and I've expanded that journey to the entire NES library - or, more specifically, non-pirate and non-homebrew titles released in the United States during the system's lifespan, from the launch in October 1985 to the release of Sunday Funday in 1995/1996. That's around 750 or so titles, and I might die before reaching the goal! But hey, it never hurts to try.

So I run this podcast on Pixlbit called Backloggers Anomyous, maybe you've heard of it? Our mission is to encourage gamers to dig into their backlog and play games they may have missed. The problem is, up until recently, the only gamers who really were interested in the podcast were fellow staff members. Now that we've got regular visitors, I'm very interested in finding out what you want to play from your backlog, and we'd love to play through those games with you on Backloggers.

GrayHaired has inspired me.  I have the MGS HD collection siiting in my backlog, and so I have decided to cross those games off the list.  Since these games are not new to me, I plan on playing on the easy difficulty.  I have less of a problem replaying these game on easy, because I know that they can easily become a time sink.

R.I.P. Lucas Arts....I'll miss you.
