Well kiddies, it’s another fantastic Friday and that means another installment of our favorite bi-weekly column Missing in Action!

Instead of romancing their significant others with chocolate, flowers, and back rubs, the Tri-Force PixlTalk crew instead spends Valentine’s Day talking about video games. This week, we go hard on story in games in part two of our Storytellers edition.

What counts as a PlayStation Vita launch title? Is it any game that released today or in the past week with the Vita First Edition Bundle? What about those games coming next week, with the original, "true" Vita launch? And how about those games available for download? Have no fear! This week's best ever PB & Jason covers all three categories, in vein of previous launch specials, like with the PlayStation Move and the Xbox Kinect. Click through to find the PB & Jason podcast player and download links!

Last month, Modern Warfare 3’s Elite service finally got up and running, much to the excitement of its members. Being a subscriber to this program allows gamers to receive a special piece of DLC every month that is exclusive to the Elite service. January marked the delivery of the first content, with plenty more to become available on a month by month basis.

The year was 1990. It is about a year before the Super Nintendo makes its debut, but the NES is enjoying brisk sales of both hardware and games. The previous year Nintendo released its first handheld system, the Game Boy, and unleashed the addiction known as Tetris. This was, however, in North America. As I eluded to in Mario Mania #2, a Famicom player often had a different, exclusive set of hardware to play with than his counterpart in North America. The Japan-only accessory, the Famicom Disk System, was one of them.

Take a moment and type in the world “layoffs” in the PixlBit search field. Press enter and see where it takes you. Don’t worry, I’ll wait.

Angelo Grant joins the heroes this week as we take on another evildoer in the industry of gaming … Online Passes! With the recent controversy revolving around Kingdoms of Amalur’s (which is amazing by the way) day one DLC, people are in an uproar. Are publishers wrong for using these crude tactics to protect their big bucks? Or are we gamers simply idealists who refuse to acknowledge the video game industry as a business? You decide this week on PixlTalk.

Shigeru Miyamoto has become quite well known for his outstanding games and their absolutely unique designs. He has led countless projects and played a major role in the runaway success of Nintendo since the introduction of the NES. However, he's also the reason Star Fox 2, a fully completed game, has never seen the light of day.

The calendar says it's Friday and you know what that means. That’s right; it’s time for another fantastic installment of Missing in Action!

Konichiwa, beyotches! It's time for another edition of PixlTalk, Tri-Force style! It's all about Japan this week, as your intrepid trio takes a look at the Japanese industry and talk about how concerned we are about the future of gaming over there. Your cup will runneth over with podcasty goodness as we argue about the merits of Mario for the hardcore gamer, discuss the sexuality of Bayonetta, casual racism in Resident Evil 5 (among other games), and mention some of our favorite Japanese games from this generation. We talk in some detail about Metal Gear Solid 4, Vanquish, Demon's Souls, and then Patrick makes sweet, sweet love to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. So sit back, pour some sake, and listen to a podcast so meaty you'll need to hold it with both hands.

This week's PB & Jason is full of great stuff. Inside, you'll find a certain PixlBit blog featured! Also discover news regarding things like NetFlix, PSN+, and Club Nintendo! Add in a bit of musing about Skyrim and Kingdoms of Amalur, then mix in a peck of an upcoming feature about what's in store for us with the Wii U, and you'll find this week's best PB & Jason issue, ever! Click through the article to find the podcast.

What is that sweet nectar permeating into my earlobes? Is it an Angel? No – it’s Esteban Cuevas! Listen this week, as Esteban not only serenades you with his serene singing talents, but also introduces our new name … Hell Block Heroes. Being newly appointed “heroes of the hell blocks” we decided to take on a topic that is often disregarded: gaming communities.

When one thinks "PB & Jason," one likely thinks of sandwiches, yes. Second in mind comes a wonderful little podcast starring one Jason Ross, of about 30-40 minutes a week, and maybe just a little extra. This week's PB & Jason defies all expectations, offering twice as much of both PB and Jason as normal! Wow!

Final Fantasy is one of the most celebrated series in video game history. It spans 14 epic games across five console generations and is loved by fans around the world. But the funny thing about Final Fantasy is the fact that each adventure takes place in a completely different world with new lands to explore, party members to meet and villains to defeat. The only time a Final Fantasy game has continued its story was with the spinoff of FF X, which was given the awkward-but-accurate name of Final Fantasy X-2. That changes now, with the divisive Final Fantasy XIII getting a direct sequel on January 31.

Well kiddies, it’s another fantastic Friday and that means another installment of my favorite bi-weekly column Missing in Action! For those of you not familiar with my weekly staple, MIA is a column where we pick a game or franchise out of the gutter, clean it up and present it for a current generation update.

Grab the Metamucil and adjust your Depends, folks: PixlTalk is officially old! Your normal crew 2 Tri-Force (Julian, Rob, and Patrick) decide to celebrate the big 5-0 in style. How? By ranting like old men about the way gaming used to be, dammit! You'll learn that Julian does a terrible old man voice, but Patrick does an amazing one, balancing out the insanity of this episode. Before that, we talk about what we're playing now, with some discussion on Mass Effect 2, Skyward Sword, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and Asura's Wrath. So sit back, crank up those hearing aids, put on your rose-tinted glasses, and enjoy!

Last month we announced our Game of the Year award winners by genre, platform and overall game of the year, but we weren’t through showcasing the best that 2011 had to offer. With so many games deserving of the moniker Game of the Year we have decided to expand our awards ceremony into 2012 with the 2011 Supplemental Awards. These awards seek to recognize games that excelled in a specific area whether it be through technical achievement, sheer enjoyability or utter disappointment.

Have you ever been on YouTube to see a message that a video has been removed to protect someone's intellectual property or prevent copyright prevention? Yes? Well, have you ever seen that message when trying to view a promotional trailer released specifically to be placed on YouTube by various members of the media? Doesn't that sound a little mind-numbing? Click through to find a link to hear more about this particular issue, and how I reflect it to the SOPA & PIPA bills currently being talked about in the US Congress. Oh, but there's a lot more to PB & Jason than just those bills; click through to see the rest!

This week is a little different from the rest. Seeing how it’s been awhile since the four of us have gotten together, we decided to talk about what we’ve been playing. While the discussion starts out simple enough, we manage to stumble upon some interesting topics along the way.

PB & Jason issue 71 is many things. Dignified is probably not one of them. Join me for a special week of PB & Jason, which includes things such as excerpts from Nick's Amy review, news of OnLive hitting all Google TVs, Club Nintendo downloadable titles, and more! Hooray!

Today Mike discusses a topic that affects everyone here. The SOPA bill, if passed, could drastically change the landscape of the internet forever. Click through to hear Mike's explanation of and thoughts on the controversial bill and add to the discussion by sounding off in the comments section.

The calendar says it's Friday and you know what that means. That’s right; it’s time for another fantastic installment of Missing in Action!
Welcome to the second episode of PixlTalk Crew 2! Jason (of PB & Jason fame) sits in with the traditional trio of Julian, Rob, and Patrick. We discuss the maturing of story in video games, starting with the intriguing target footage of Rainbow Six: Patriots. That leads us into some debate over the merit of the Call of Duty series before things get really heated over Heavy Rain. Then we put on our silk robes and crank some Barry White as we discuss romance in games, with a focus on Half Life, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and...Zelda. Wait, what?

After nearly a decade, the NFL license has returned to the Blitz series. With Midway dead and buried, EA has acquired the rights to the fan favorite arcade football series with the intent of returning it to its former glory. After a successful outing with the NBA Jam series, it's clear EA has what it takes to properly rekindle these arcade experiences despite their simulation focused pedigree. PixlBit had an opportunity to interview the game's producer, David Ross, about the development of the game, working with the NFL license, and preserving the classic experience.
