04/01/2024 - I Forgot To Post Last Week

Ok so apparently I forgot to either upload my last blog post or I completely forgot to write one. I checked my folder and it turns out the one that I was typing up last week I either never saved or it got lost before I had a chance to upload it (I probably just forgot) anyways let’s catch up.

-I decided to take a break from Red Dead because I’m just not interested in the story. It’s just not fun for me, even with my little mods (running like a vampire from Twilight is pretty funny) the game just isn’t for me. Maybe if I leave it alone for a bit I will get back into it.

-I started playing Lego Incredibles and well….yeah I’m not into this one either. I do love the aspect of playing a new (to me) Lego license but after that first level I’m indifferent. Maybe if I get into the game a little more I’ll start liking it especially when I start unlocking characters and buying stud multipliers (I really do love finding the red bricks)

-So my dumbass moment was realizing that I wasn’t playing the single player of Avengers. At the start screen I clicked on another option (not the one that has a blinking all characters unlocked) and BOOM there’s the single player where you play as I want to say Ms. Marvel? The stretchy lady. The single player is a lot of fun. Lots of repetitive bad guys and the usual go reunite the Avengers, collect stuff, and then get cool things. I blew through the first block of missions I want to say within a week and it was a game that I was actually looking forward to after work or at times before work. I still have the other three storylines but right now I’m replaying that first block to get the collectables. In reality I just like beating up the bad guys. The one thing I do have to say is that it feels like Black Widow and Captain America are the easiest characters to jump in with and just wreak havoc. I’ll probably do a more in-depth review next week, or at least my version of an in-depth review.

-I tried out Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 Grand Prix and it’s a typical Mariokart Clone. Nothing really to write home about. It’s fun but I get why it was part of a games bundle.

-NBA 2K23 has some renewed excitement because I was offered a trade by a division rival in which I get a really good young player for one of my big contract players. My whole goal for the first season was to win a title with a bunch of expiring contract players so I can go wild in Free Agency and the draft, but since I was offered a young player I might as well start grabbing pieces that will be the 3-4 players I build a team around.

-I still sometimes play RACE on Android. I think the appeal for me is the fact it’s a Pay to Win game that I get all the goodies for free because it’s part of Google Play. Speaking of, I have no idea when my annual sub gets renewed.

-Speaking of Google Play, I do wish more Pay to Win games were available. I don’t even care if they’re older games, I’d like to see the end of some of these games without spending a small fortune. I write that knowing full well I have access to Asphalt 8+ on Apple Arcade yet I haven’t proceeded further than the end of the first season.

I think that’s all the gaming that I’ve been doing other than the Sodoku puzzles, and this bootleg version of Heardle (think Wordle but with music) on my phone and tablet. Anyways have a good April Fools Pixlpeeps! I’m not trusting any news that’s happening today.

That’s all for now, more later! (I really need to get back into a posting routine)

-Chris

I just saw a buy 1 get 3 free sale (just like old Gamestop used to do) on Xbox for Lego games. I was eyeing Incredibles and Jurassic World but didn't get them because all were full price. I can usually get these for under $10 on various sales that pop up fairly frequently on Xbox.
