In Animal Crossing: NH, Tom Nook comes off as a G-rated mob boss/loan shark. Dude constantly keeps you in debt. They should have kept Resetti in the game as Tom Nook's debt collector.  There's even a dude on the island who fences stolen/counterfeit artwork.

I have, in the past, referred to Ys 8 as Gilligan's Island: The RPG. The princess is pretty much Ginger, and Sahad is the Skipper.

I never really saw Tom Nook as being as bad as everyone on the Internet says he is.  I mean, sure he keeps you in debt, but he doesn't bug you about paying him back.  He just lets you take your time and you don't even have to pay him if you don't want to.  You just won't have a big house.

Oh great, now I'm going to have to try and remember which other characters in Ys 8 are like Gilligan's Island characters.  There was a Gilligan's Island game on the NES, never played it, though.

Thanks for listening!

A friend of mine had problems with Redd, the art dealer. He didn't like getting fake stuff sometimes.

I'm curious about all the games you mentioned. I'm keen to hunt down Wii Skiing and Snowboarding since a shop near me has lots of bargain Wii games. Road Trip for PS2 as well. Ys 8 sounds interesting.

Maybe my favorite vacation game might be Disneyland Adventures. Which reminds me, I want a physical copy even if it does require the Kinect (later digital versions removed the Kinect features).
