I finally bought a PS4. I mostly bought it because I wanted a second Blu-ray player, as I have yet to actually play a game on it! There are loads of great exclusives coming out next year but right now there are no games I want to play for it.

It's hard to believe it has been so long, but I haven't blogged since May of last year! Not that I didn't like this site or that I stopped playing video games, I just have felt really critical of my writing skills and have had no urge to write whatsoever. Perhaps partly because I am playing more games right now than I have in years (but mostly because I can't sleep at the moment), I finally have a new blog!

Once again, long time no see! I guess I never seem to get any blogging ideas other than the obligatory purchase blog. Oh well, enjoy the pictures and the off-the-cuff reactions if nothing else!

Anyone with a PS3 and a few dollars in their account probably took advantage of the awesome 99-cents-a-game Flash Sale. I bought seven games in total, which combined is still less than the price of one of them. This has led to me going on a gaming-binge, a rarity for me. This is mostly due the fact I usually don’t play so many games at once. I’ve already finished three of them! Here’s my impressions:

There are actually a lot of games I’m looking forward to this year, but I noticed an odd similarity in almost all of them:

So yeah, I’ve decided I’m not going to play FFXIV as much as I was before! The game is great, but it’s clear that when it gets to a point where I play a game up to six hours a day that I have some other issues going on. I’m not going to get into those problems, but basically without realizing it I was running from these problems by letting a game consume me.
