In mid-September of last year, I managed to get a decent deal on a used Samsung laptop that has Windows 11, runs decently, and didn't cost too much. So, coupled with the idea of a New Year's resolution and the ownership of a decent laptop, I want to blog here (and on other sites) more often and just get into the effort of writing/posting again. I've fallen out of the habit and i honestly miss it. 

So, that Acer Aspire laptop I blogged about last time? Screen doesn't come on. I've got to get this repaired (and hope that it doesn't cost too much) so until then, I'm using my trusty, won't-die Samsung Chromebook that I got back in 2017. 

I recently purchased a refurbished laptop (nothing fancy, one of the Acer Aspire models) after having spent so many years without a laptop (the Samsung Chromebook I own still works but its OS stopped receiving support two years ago). I don't know why I went so far like this. The idea was not to acquire a gaming PC/laptop but something good enough to handle jack-of-all-trades utilities. So far, it's worked out well for me. 

I returned to Assassin's Creed Odyssey a couple of weekends ago and realized a new quest has been added in which Kassandra and her two friends (Barnabas and Herodotus) go on another quest after Kass has taken a six-month-long vacation. I didn't read much about it when it was released so I didn't realize until it was over that it was the final story mission and thus the actual end of the game. There's still plenty of stuff to do (and I haven't done any DLC stuff yet) but seeing the actual end of a game that took me a little over 200 hours felt very poignant. AC Odyssey may be a controversial entry in the series (for certain AC fans) but it was so satisfying to me. I still plan to return to its shores some day....

It's always a comfort knowing this website still runs and the community still supports it. There's nothing but shame and bad excuses from me. It's nonsensical, too: professing my enjoyment of a website even though I don't do enough as a member. I can always take comfort in the fact that it's super laid back (unless someone in the comments corrects me on that opinion ;) )

For BaD, that is.

So...late October was my last post date? Good to know that nothing has changed. We're about to enter the last week of February so let's see if I can make an effort to blog more before BaD 2021 wraps up. 

In the past four months since my last blog post, there's no telling how many times I thought of this website or even visited and thought about posting a new blog and then for whatever pathetic reason decided against it or was distracted by something else. I keep falling into this trap, no matter how hard I try. I think its a good idea to let some time pass between blog posts so that I'll have something to post about but the time slips away. As a result of posting one now, I'm stuck with the challenge of recapping what I've been doing for the past 4 months (or not). Let's see how I do...

As it rains and t-storms for the second day in a row, I'm going to blog again. Thanks for the comments for the last blog posts and for the new Switch friends (thanks Cary and Super King!). Still enjoying my Switch and making my daily duties in Animal Crossing NH: recently unlocked the museum and the new Nook shopping building. I'm about 15,000 bells from paying off my first debt.
