Between my birthday and Christmas (which are only three days apart) and the money I got from those two events, December turned out to be really robust month for getting games, which you can get the full scoop on by reading my December recap 
(which I still need to write lol). The highlights, though, are Cave Story+ and Axiom Verge for the Switch 
425 hours in Minecraft...that just blows my mind. But that's also one reason it has stayed so relevant. You're never really done with it. So did you play exclusively on Xbox One in 2017 or was anything else a negligible amount of time spent?
Better to have loved and lost...or, um, played and dropped than to have never played...or something? You can always jump back in later. At least you have a Switch right now to allow your gaming to be really flexible.

I fear EndWar will suffer a similar fate of sitting around...but it was so cheap lol and it does look really good.
I remember playing Fable II! I don't think I ever even looked at the achievements though, but I had a lot of fun playing through the main story.

I wanted to encourage you to get the import Xbox One version of Raiden V but I just looked it up on Amazon and it's really expensive 
You should definitely get your shmup on though. There's no shortage of games to play.
The opening is in a warehouse and then a water treatment plant. Those are very gray and brown and rusty. But after that you head to a big office building and it gets much more visually interesting.
I'm glad this story had a happy ending
