Ours did some funny things in the first couple months that we had...can't remember what exactly now...but I don't think it ever turned off while we were playing. It's probably been close to a year since it didn't anything screwy. I hope it stabilizes for you.
Congrats on the new PS4! Ours get used all the time. Did you keep up with getting the PS+ games for it before you bought it? There's been a lot of great stuff.
I didn't get a 360 till the end of 2010 and a PS3 the next year, and then I bought games like mad because they were cheap. Yeah, I still haven't played all those yet.
Last weekend I played Sonic CD for the first time. I bought that game on my PS3 close to five years ago 
It's nice to get some backlogged games cleared up.

I think we unlocked all of them, though I don't remember if the countdown went away. My favorite to use was Blade or whatever they called him lol

I have never played a Master System game. But egads, no pictures on the carts? And look at that box art! Crazy times.
I enjoyed the campaign in Star Fox Zero well enough but I kind of cooled toward it as I tried to unlock the alternate paths and extra stages. But then I really enjoyed the Arcade Mode. I can see myself coming back to that multiple times. I do wish the controls were a little simpler though.
I've got my eye on Pocket Card Jockey. I put it in my wish list.
