I used to play the Halo games with my wife but then Halo 5 dropped splitscreen and we haven't played since. I know you guys are playing on separate consoles, but any idea if they stuck split screen back in? That was the best.

Yikes, that's a lot of stuff to go through! Sorry to hear about your dog. Taco Belle, right? And a ruptured appendix. That's rough. Glad to see you back though.
Minecraft Dungeons can get very hard! But I do think it scales with the number of players. It's great fun though.
Oh man, that original trilogy is still the best!
We just went a little vacation and I took Live A Live with me...and ended up only playing some Picross! But Live A Live is on the short list for sure.
My life is busy enough and my backlog is big enough that I find I don't really look very far ahead to what's coming out. That said, I am of course excited for Tears of the Kingdom. I have also alwasy wanted to play a Fatal Frame game, so maybe this new one coming out? Sea of Stars certainly does sounds cool. I hope it's good.
I was a big fan of Digimon back in the day. I still have a binder of Digimon cards in my closet, I think. I picked up the Cyber Sleuth collection for Switch because I heard they were the best Digimon games yet (actually good this time!) and just this month I got Digimon Survive, a visual novel with tactical battles. Digimon seems like it's on a roll of good games. Hopefully this new one is good too.
You sure played a lot of games last year! Do many companies still send you review codes? I know you've mentioned in the past that some have stopped doing that.
Looks like it was a great year for rereleases or continuations of old franchises! Also, it must be neat to have that physical newspaper clipping of your Pac-Man World review.
Live A Live was one of those holy grail Super Famicom RPGs that never got a US release. Seems it was worth the wait!
I got to play through the first River City Girls with my wife, which was fun. It can be surprisingly difficult to find time for stuff like that. We are certainly not hurting for beat 'em ups at the moment though!
