Ah, Acclaim. Haven't seen that name in a long time. I always think of Extreme G when I see that logo.

My only experience with Turok was playing the original at a friend's house with a bunch of cheat codes on. There's one point where you go in a cave and see tons of bodies hanging from the ceiling before you fight a big T-rex. But the codes to give them big heads and make them dance kind of ruined the scary atmosphere lol.

Good show, guys! I've never pirated a new game but I've emulated my share of old ones. I tried out games like Commander Keen, Rise of the Triad, and the original WarCraft (man, have RTSes come a long way!). I probably still have a folder with games like that on my computer somewhere but I have done anything like that since college. I never did get into emulating consoles, even though I prefer console games. Never felt right without a controller. I think emulation is really important for historical and preservation purposes, but it gets pretty shady if you just play for fun. I love physcal media anyway, so I'd rather play on the original consoles.

But speaking of pirate games, don't forget to play Pirate Code! It's a great turn-based strategy game and has such wonderful music  You can download it here.

Amoebattle looks like the RTS games that came out for the DS, like Lost Magic or Heroes of Mana.

I love the Mario RPGs and Thousand Year Door is phenomenal, but I do not like Super Paper Mario. It has great characters and a poignant story but as a hybrid of the platform and RPG genres, all the gameplay feels halfbaked. You'll probably enjoy it for what it is though, but definitely play the Thousand Year Door!

I played Shattered Memories on the Wii and really enjoyed it. I thought they made good use of the Wii remote, so the waggle didn't bother me. I wrote a review back on 1UP. That seems so long ago lol.

Light Crusader is definitely the oddball in Treasure's library but it's cool that they succeeded at doing something different. The isometric perspective is so strange because it was definitely a European fad at the time. You won't find too many Japanese games from back then that use it. I never did finish this game but I'd like to give it another try now.

Love that FFVI Blackjack theme! Airship themes in general tend to be great. I like the one from FFXI as well.

Ah, Jet Force Gemini. I loved that game but never got through the stuipd bear collectathon at the end. Dang it, Rare!

That sounds about on par with other opinions I've heard of the game. I know it's definitely B-tier but the world and story are enough incentive for me to want to play it.
