aHA! I wonder why they don't get any mention. But then again, I suppose they aren't even playable on today's operating systems, and Avernum sounds like the same basic concept. Still, I remember my brother getting countless hours of enjoyment out of those Exile games.
Is this game single player only? That's definitely a knock against a Mana game after other games in the series have had such stellar co-op. Still, I wouldn't mind having it even if I never get around to playing it.
I've seen this game a lot at GameStop and have been tempted to try it at times but I don't know. I have such a backlog of RPGs as it is. I don't know if I need another difficult one and if I got one I'd probably want them all lol, so maybe...
An Atlus trifecta! Lol. We have Catherine for the PS3. My wife played it till she got stuck on the puzzles and I haven't played it yet. Looking forward to, though, sometime. I hope to find Operation Darkness somewhere. I love those weird alternate history things. But I'm in no rush to get P4 Arena. I haven't played Persona 4 yet. Heck, I haven't played Persona 3 yet! Though I do have a copy of that one at least. So maybe someday.
Haha this game is so funny. "I will destroy you!" Lol. So many great little quips. Oh yeah, and the fighting is fun too. I loved it when you knocked your opponent through a wall into a different arena.

I noticed the other day that the Department Heaven games (Riviera, Knights in the Nightmare, etc.) were just a couple bucks each on PSP...
NES is definitely the best way to play. The iOS version requires a different play style. I like to kill everything when I play the NES version on iOS I just try to get through, just survive and kill the boss. And I tell you, shooting diagonally can be really tough 
It's not too bad as a mobile fix though.
I really don't know if there are android versions. And yeah, touch controls can easily ruin a game. But there are plenty of good ones too.
I think it was back in December that ARC Squadron was free. It's $3 right now. I guess it would depend on how much you could play to decide if it'd be worth it. It is a pretty sweet game.
