If you do decide to get a 3DS (recommended!), make sure to get an XL. I like my XL so much better than the origianal 3DS I had before. But the 3DS is really developing a great library. You should jump in before you get too far behind lol
I wanna get this game sometime but can't right now because I bought BioShock Infinite new. Can't do that very often. I love reversible covers though. Xenoblade Chronicles had a good one.

Elite Beat Agents is one of the best impulse buys I've ever made. I knew what it was and decided to give it a try when I found a new copy for $15. Weird game but lots of fun.
I swear, Sony would make more money if they weren't so stuck on using their own proprietary tech. Having such expensive memory cards only hurts game sales (case in point).
The depths that Capcom has sunk to hit me last summer when their big game release was Dragon's Dogma, a Western-style RPG. I couldn't help but wonder what happened to the Japanese developer I had known and loved. They're still MIA.
I think it pays for itself pretty quickly, especially if you have a Vita too. I've been stockpiling the free Vita games in hopes that I'll have a system to play them on eventually.

I'd been thinking about getting it for a while but then it became a free game on PlayStation Plus so I figured it was a sign 
I played Uncharted right after getting a PS3...a year and a half ago?...and really enjoyed it, despite the eventual monotomy of combat, and I've been meaning to play the other two ever since. I just haven't gotten around to it.
I started playing Demon's Souls last week but I haven't had much spend on it yet. I'm not sure I'll have the patience for it though lol. I've always been intrigued by the Yakuza games, so I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the fourth installment as you go.
Good article. Nice to see you can do more than rant and swear lol. The disconnect between narrative and gameplay in Infinite never occurred to me while playing but you're right, it is definitely there. I guess the problem is that Irrational has refined this great shooter gameplay and they of course want to use it. Dishonored is a good example of a recent game giving the player choice to reflect the narrative in their play style, though even that game is a little heavyhanded about how you should play if you want a good ending. Yeah, the medium has a long way to go.
