Yeah, see, I can't move on to a new game unless I finish what I'm playing or decide officially that I'm putting it down and probably not coming back to it. (My brain, thankfully, is ok with having multiple games in progress, though, as long as I am indeed making progress on them.)
I'm planning to play all the Shantae games. I got Seven Sirens for Christmas and am just waiting for Half-Genie Hero to come in the mail.
My brothers and I played so much ClayFighter 63 1/3 as kids! Still the best occurrence of Earthworm Jim in my opinion.
It is a painful realization that one cannot play all the games lol. I was well into adulthood before I accepted that fact 
I've found it easier in recent years to skip digital games on sale unless I'll play them right away. I've bought so many digital games and come to realize I probably won't actually play them. A good deal on a physical game though...I still struggle with that! lol
I'm sure the new Bravely Default will be quite good, though I won't be getting it right away. Gotta spread out these huge RPGs! I do love the art for Octopath so much more though.
I had wanted to get that one for the PS2/Wii back in the day but never got around to it. Glad to be giving the series a go now.
I've been waiting and waiting for secondary jobs to open up in Octopath and just discovered today that it isn't based on your level. There are shrines hidden out in the world that unlock the jobs once you find them. So make sure to explore those more open areas between towns!
Gosh, so many cool sounding games I didn't get to play! I had forgotten about Drill Land. I really want to get that. I've never heard of PONG Quest but I'm sure intrigued now! And you are not the first person I've heard sing the praises of Streets of Rage 4. Really need to play that.
It's good! I'd say just stick it in your wish list and wait for a sale. You should try it. I didn't have any major complaints.
Oh, I was going to mention Contra: Hard Corps. I still consider beating that by myself on the Genesis one of my great gaming accomplishments. Which ending did you get? I got to the one where Colonel Bahamut turns into a big monster. They made the American version of that harder, you know. The Japanese version had life bars for the player characters while the American version had one-hit kills. The Contra Collection has both, I think, and I keep meaning to try the Japanese version...and keep forgetting
Blogging is a tough commitment. I've been impressed with your consistency. I haven't been playing as many different things since Octopath is so long. I hope I can get that done in another month or so. I realized this morning that next month is blog-a-day
