Yokai Watch, The Game and Show

Posted on 11/07/2015 at 12:37 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I pre-ordered the game, too, but I haven't played it yet.  I'm going to Alabama next week to visit family, and it can sometimes get a little boring and slow there, so I may save it to play then.  I think the cartoon is pretty awful, but I watch it anyway.  It's so bad it's good, in a MST3K sort of way.  Nintendo isn't marketing it enough like they did Pokemon, so I don't see it getting as popular here as it is in Japan.

I think it's a neat idea and has done very well.  But it can also be viewed as a waste of money, too.  But if you enjoy it, it's not a waste.  I enjoy revieweing Skylanders titles, but I never bought a single one.  The only ones I have are the ones that came with the review copies.  I enjoy getting the Amiibo figures because I like all the characters, and most can be used with more than just one game.  Disney Infinity has a lot of neat recognizable characters, but they limit you on when you can use them, so they missed the point with that.  LEGO Dimensions has the right idea, too, but LEGO toys are expensive and are a bit too small for me to work with.  But I still enjoyed the LEGO Dimensions game, mainly because of Portal.

I wonder who invented the bass trombone.  That's what I played in high school band.

The new Muppets show is all right.  Only problem is I don't like how they created fake drama just to have a show about it, but oh well, it's just puppets.

Hogan's Alley Review

I never had much experience with NES Zapper games outside of Duck Hunt.  I probably played more Hogan's Alley mini-games on the WarioWare titles.

Yeah in the Bay movie I liked it that Ironhide was a big truck, but I didn't like how mean he was.  In the cartoon, Ironhide was a little gruff, but he wasn't mean.

Classic Bumblebee was pretty cool.  Better than the new one who doesn't talk or turn into a VW Bug.  I don't know if I had the Bumblebee toy.  There was a red Bumblebee toy that was called Cliffjumper that I saw in stores more.

Well, I didn't really have any other choice.  But it was bound to happen soon anyway.
