Yay! I'm glad you got to play Protect Me Knight. I know it's not EXACTLY like a tower defense game, but I couldn't think of another way to describe it. I think you can build other catapults and blockades, but I can't remember.
My dog Venus is getting pretty old, too. I think she's lost most of her hearing (unless it's selective hearing), and I suspect she's going blind in one of her eyes, too. So I can understand that part.
Halloween is one of the best holidays in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. You buy monster masks, and then find out which monsters your townsfolk are scared of. Then on Halloween night, wear that mask and scare the neighbors to get candy, and give it to Jack for really cool spooky furniture.
I've been playing LEGO Dimensions with Jeff a lot this weekend. We play LEGO games together, it's a tradition. I'm also playing Chibi Robo: Zip Lash (and working on a blog about Chibi Robo later). I'm working on reviewing Freedom Planet and Transformers: Devastation.
I do understand. When Animal Crossing came out, I had already graduated college and had more money to spend. But when I was a kid, I only had a NES and then a SNES later. There's no way I could've afforded a Master System, Genesis, or TG-16 back then.
Yeah Animal Crossing isn't too terribly realistic when it comes to animals. Maybe in Japan, their otters wear spectacles and red blazers. :)
As long as you use the furniture your clients provide for you, they'll be happy. The game doesn't really judge you that much. It's a kid's game, so it's pretty easy.
I do remember getting a new memory card just for Animal Crossing. I also remember around that time, Nintendo released a memory card for GameCube that had more storage space.
Yeah I can't really recommend this game to you. It's not a bad game at all, but just not for everyone. If it were Animal Crossing: Blather's Museum Curators, then I think you would like it.
Nope, Lyle is an otter, I looked it up. I think he's supposed to be a river otter and Pascal is a sea otter. Resetti is the mole.
I think it's interesting how Redd is a fox and Tom Nook is a raccoon/tanuki. In Japanese folklore, raccoon dogs or tanuki are said to play tricks on humans, but just playful harmless tricks. Their rivals, foxes, or kitsune, are more malicious in their human tricks.
I like Jill Sandwich, but I don't know why.
When I was a kid, I didn't play Bonk games much because I didn't have a TG-16. But I've played them other times since then and they are pretty good little platformers. I'm glad they were all on the Wii Virtual Console. I hate it that Konami squelched Hudson after they bought them out. Hudson had a perfectly good, almost finished Bonk game in the works called Bonk: Brink of Extinction before they got squashed. I even played it at E3 a few years ago and got a T-shirt! Have you ever played Super Bonk on the SNES? That one is WEIRD!
