A friend told me recently that the PS4 rerelease of 2025—EDF 4.1—has more generous drop rates for the weapons and I'm like ugh, whyyyyyyy? Lol. I'm playing as the Wing Diver now and I love the mobility.

I never finished Final Fantasy Adventure back in the day and only went through Secret of Mana once (both borrowed from a friend), so I'm looking forward to playing the whole set.
Yeah, it's definitely been one of those holy grail games for 2+ decades. It's gonna take me a long time to start calling it Trials of Mana though. Seiken Densetsu 3 is burned into my brain from years of use.
I have one of the PSP WipEout games but after playing so much F-Zero GX on the GameCube, WipEout felt kind of soulless
We'll see what I think if I actually get around to trying this collection.
I'm glad Clayfighter made a good showing last episode. We were never deep into fighting games growing up, but my family did have Clayfighter 63 1/3 and I loved all the personality the fighters had. I still use some of the cheesy catch phrases they quipped. Definitely a more memorable game than KI Gold.
Stage Select: Nintendo would never make a Mario dating sim but I think it could be hilarious if done right. You could pick your leading man, Mario or Luigi, and then pursue the lady of your choice: Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, or Pauline. They'd have to construct a sim-ish Mushroom Kingdom for you to play in. Fill it with minigames and goofy conversations and I think that'd be a lot of fun. After finishing the game you could unlock some joke characters to play or woo, like Boswer or Toadette. It'll never happen but it could work!
Cage Match: The cage comes down. FFVII and Quest 64 square off. The bell rings...and Quest 64 trips, slamming into the mat with the full force of its own mediocrity. FFVII wins without lifting a finger.
Sounds like your Switch is staying very busy! I wanted to get Astral Chain (came out today!) but $$$. I hope to get DQ XI eventually and I'll definitely be getting the Switch version.
As a big fan of Ikaruga, I'm interested in Pawarumi but I'm not sure Ikaruga needed to be more complicated
My wife has always been a big fan of Banjo-Kazooie and so I got her Yooka Laylee when it came out (it initially released on her birthday) but she never really got into it. I dunno. But it looks more interesting to me as a 2D game.
That looks like a great fit for the platform! Screen's a little small but the touch screen would make for a good interface.
My initial plan for August was to get the physical release of the Collection of Mana early in the month and then Astral Chain at the end of the month, but I'm not sure if I misread the Mana date or it got pushed back, but that collection doesn't come out till the 27th and Astral Chain is the 30th and I can't do $100 of new games within a couple days of each other, so I'm pushing Astral Chain back till some later time. Plus the preorder for WayForward's River City Girls opens on the 30th on Limited Run games, but at least I have four weeks to order that. (I like physical games, okay??) Too many games! And, to put this in perspective, right now I'm playing Yakuza Kiwami 2, which came out at the end of August last year lol.
