Now that I've added a Surface Pro 3 and an iPad Mini 3 to my stable of computing devices I think I have all the bases covered.
Jesus Christ its been awhile since i posted here. I've been busy with work and everything else but i thought id drop in and say hi again. Will try to keep this blog updated with poetry at least and not pointless updates every 4 months.
I picked up this titular game. I preordered it at Gamstop, so I got an art booklet and music CD all pictured below.
It's been a busy first week back at the park, but nearly as busy as it will be as soon as the snow melts. Mostly I'm putting signs back up that fell over during the winter and picking up the litter that's emerging as the snow melts. But I also get to do a lot of nature observation while I'm doing that, which is pretty darn awesome, if you ask me.
I received word from my mum last week that my childhood friend Chris just had a tumour removed from his intestines and is undergoing chemo and radiation. They apparently nicked something in the process and he lost a lot of blood. Yesterday I heard that he's lost 42 Lbs and isn't doing well.
This weekend was full of distractions from gaming: Easter Sunday with family, my friend Mark needed to be taken for new glasses (he's in a wheelchair), and I getting over a cold that I got from my first day in the gym last Thursday. But I managed to sneak in some short burst of gaming and then a longer session Monday evening. Oh, and I even picked up a few games. I juggled a lot of stuff this week, here's the breakdown.
So uh,here's my art blog. Drew a lot of new stuff again which probably means I'll become a hermit again trying to get all of it colored!
Good morning Pixlbit, how is your Monday? So far in Sunny SoCal it is a cool 63 degrees on this breezy start to the week. I think this is the first full week in April so it is time to take a look at what I did in March, as well as what I’ve been playing this past week. Sound fun? Good let’s get this party started!
I finished Embassytown by China Mieville. It took me six weeks but I did it! Don't get me wrong but in the end it was a good story, just a tough slog through his dense prose, made up words and constant repetition. Very draining but in the end I thought the story and the ideas were very good.
So you want to play something on that shiny PS4, but notice that the system really does not have a lot going for it yet. Batman isn't until summer, Metal Gear won't hit until the summer drought ends, and who knows when we'll get Uncharted 4? Then you hear all those people loving Bloodborne and wonder if you should take the plunge. The Souls games intimidated you, but dammit, your PS4 must be played and you want quality!
I took a short trip to another mall where there was another Jay Street Video Games store. I didn't find what I was looking for there, so I went to the Gamestop there and they had a buy 2 get 1 free sale on last gen games. It's my favorite GS sale, so I got what's shown below.
Well there wasn't much fooling around for Nintendo on the first. The latest Direct gsve me a nice glimmer of hope on upcoming titles that I thought I'd never see. But there was good and there was bad, so now I'll take a moment and dissect everything.
Before I started collecting video games, I collected music. Back in the 80s, for me, it was all about stereo equipment, vinyl records, CDs and cassette tapes. I made mixes of my collection on tape and took them with me to play on a Sony Walkman or on my car cassette tape player. I was way into that stuff just like I am now with games.
Pixlbit Nation how are you doing on this Friday Morning? By the time you read this I will most likely be sitting in a movie theater watching the next installment of the Fast and the Furious Franchise*. Here’s to hoping a giant plane is dragging a bunch of cars that are dragging safes, while inside the plane there is a full on wrestling match going on. Why do I love this series? Its so over the top that it is freaking awesome. I mean the first one was an actual movie about street racing, and then it just goes nuts from there. This is the perfect popcorn flick. Anyways it is Friday, which means another Quick Hits With Chris. Today we shall be talking about Wrestlemania, along with other TV Shows I’ve been watching, and what’s going on with photography. Of course it wouldn’t be Friday without seeing what Fake Lego Lady had in stock at the Swapmeet, so sit back and get ready to shift at least a hundred times and live your life a quarter mile at a time!
I was asked what my thoughts on #GamerGate are as of right now. I realize I could just “copy-paste” one of my twit-longers but that’s pretty insincere considering most of you are friends. “Friends” deserve actual effort.
