I've been listening to a Alt Nation on Sirius/XM, this song just played on day and I've been hooked.
Well good morning Pixlbiticans, it is a FREAKING WARM 72 DEGREES. Holy Cow, apparently that time change one hour brought an extra 20 degrees to the weather. I spent the past week sleeping with the window open and a fan going before yesterday losing the good fight and turning on the Air Conditioner. Oh yeah this is one of many things I like to blame on moving the clocks an hour forward. The only bright spot was that the majority of the midweek Swapmeet vendors were already setup by my usual time, and the sun was out. I hit the Swapmeet, visited a GameStop, and a Walmart all before the sun went down. I don’t know why that is a big deal, but it felt like one. So how are you Pixlbit? Are you good people ready for the weekend? I am happy it is here but I do have some work to do. I’m trying to create this border for a project, and I have some inspiration, which I finished, but I also need to place something in front of it to complete the look so I am drawing a blank. Hopefully I can think of something before I jump into my thinking room aka the shower. We shall see how it goes. Anyways let’s get started with this week’s Quick Hits!
These will seem like random thoughts to you, but they had to come from somewhere:
Well hello everyone! I hope everyones 2015 is going swell, totally did not realize how long it has actually been since i wrote a blog...wow it's been a long time. I am a bit sad I missed BaD...I actually forgot about it being in February but I forgot a lot of things during February because it was a seriously busy month for me. I'll remember for next year though!
So in the time between the last blog and this one I've managed to get my hands on Majora's Mask 3D and beat it. There's still a bunch of stuff I haven't done that I'll get to later, but right now I'm going back to playing some 3DS Smash and waiting patiently (ha) for the email confirmation for the CD offer from Club Nintendo. Also wondering how that Mewtwo offer is gonna work, hope I can give it to my bro as well without much of a hassle.
I was just wondering if anyone could share anything about it?
I have all the physical Bloom County compilations and they are great.

Okay, so I got around to watching another YA novel turned to film called "Maze Runner" and it wasn't all that bad.If you've played Pac-Man or at least seen the game in any capacity then you'll get the premise of the film, except in this film Pac-Man wants to escape the maze forever. Actually, I was kind of surprised at how the film just got right to the middle and end parts withough giving any kind of beginning? I don't know when or where this maze takes place aside from the fact that everyone speaks English and its a distopia movie, I assume it takes place in the far future or a parallel universe or whatever.
Played some more Last of Us Remastered last night and ever since I wrote that article on levels vs. segments for +10damage where I said I prefer having whole levels to get through as opposed to bite-sized segments I've been going back and forth on that opinion. I should have written more about what a huge part context plays in my preference.
Five Night's at Freddy's is a game that sounds stressful to me. I love the setup, working a security guard at a Chuck E Cheese rip off at night when the animatronics come out to kill you. Not just kill you, but shove your body into another one of their suits even though the gears and mechanics inside them will kill you (which is a very disturbing thought). The thing is, just watching security cameras to know when to shut the doors as the power drains from the station does not sound like my idea of fun. It seems like I'd be frustrating and annoyed.
The weather has improved dramatically this month. We've had over a week of no snow storms, and the weather has made it to freezing or just above for the last couple of days. Woohoo! And I will be starting back at the park in 19 days. YAY! Not much going on for excitement, other than Bandit being firmly convinced that the field is a puppy-swallowing wasteland and not to be trusted. I've packed down a trail going out to the trails in the woods behind the house with my snowshoes, but he keeps stepping off the packed-down part and then flounders around in the deep snow and panics. He then heads back for the porch and looks at me like I'm trying to get him killed. Silly dog.
I have all of the achievements but one in Tormentum. I've thought about changing my score from a 6.5 to a 7 because of how willing I am to revisit this world, but the fact it's so incredibly easy upon replay for an already short game makes me think the score I gave it is fine.
Good morning Pixlbit Nation, how is your Monday treating you? So far this whole losing an hour of sleep sucks but for some odd reason my body still woke up at 5am (I usually wake up between 5-6am). I’m not complaining about being able to wake up this early because this is the time I usually play some random game while listening to the local morning news show. Instead of playing a random game on the iPad, I instead focused on a new app where it collects various weekend ads from various stores in my area. Yep I did everything from looking at prices of the latest and greatest DVD/Blu-ray releases to checking the price of steak, for Meat Thursday. This aggregate list was helpful instead of me opening up a bunch of apps looking for their weekly ads. Anyways if you good people want to try it, the app is called Flipp.
I was talking to my son on Saturday and he was telling me about the sorry state of his original Zelda 3DS. The right shoulder button was not working properly and the cap had fallen off the analog stick.
So in my previous blog I spoke of an achievement I had accomplished recently. That very thing is...I beat Majora's Mask finally after years and years of it haunting me. Let me explain no...let me tell you my story of how The Legend of Zelda came to be in my life. Flash back to the year 1998, I'm 9 years old and my dad who up until the PS3 and 360 generation had been buying my game stuff and as my aunt would say feeding a bad habit. Don't get me wrong, I in no way think video games are bad habit. Can certain games take on a addictive habit? Yes but not all and there is always going to be negatives where there are positives. Anywho my dad had just got us a N64 not long ago and we just happen to go to burleson one night to eat out at a restaurant. Dad surprises me and my sister by taking us to blockbuster, who was back then a powerhouse in the rental era. They carried N64 games and has we looked we both noticed one game that got our attention. That game was the legend of zelda: ocarina of time. We both decided to rent it only. We were in utter awe of it when you got passed the first dungeon. The big wide open space to explore! I swear we probably spent more time running around the first hours trying to see everything then completing the main task at hand. We were in love with the game, we practically begged dad to buy it from blockbuster. They would sell things at a used price if the customer wanted to keep it. We won, dad bought it so we officially had a copy of it. Now fast forward to 1999, I'm 10, I've played titles like Donkey Kong 64, Jet Force Gemini, and of course Legend of Zelda. I still haven't beaten it at this time of course, I didnt beat ocarina until I was I believe in my teens. Anywho fast forward a tiny bit to April 2000. Yall know why that month and year is singled out? That was the year the thing thhat has plagued me for years came out on N64....Majora's Mask. When I got my hands it I loved it, I enjoyed it and I even quickly got used to the 3 day mechanic. However my patience got a bit worn out during my playthrough. Especially when I reached the Stone Temple part. The final time I played it, I was 11 and I finally said I can't do this, I'm done. Everytime I'd get close to completing the temple, the 3 days would be up. I'd get so aggravated, I swear I probably resembled the happy mask sells man when he lost his shit over you not getting the mask back on your first go of the 3 days. I pushed the game away, I didn't touch it after that until now of course. I don't know what it was as a child that that temple was so difficult but of as a few nights ago now, I beat Majora's Mask. I conquered the thing that haunted me in the back of my head for sooo long. I couldn't fathom why is this so hard? What am I doing wrong? To this day, I still dont, maybe I just couldn't link everything together and keep it linked after I had to restart as a child. Maybe I played a game that was a lot more mature for my age. Majora's Mask does have strong themes of death, despair, abandonment, and sadness. I still love the game and the 3DS port was done very well. I will say the swimming mechanic is horriable, I might just be awful at controlling Zora link but omgee, the last leg of the game on the moon was a nightmare for me with Zora Link. I swear I was redoing the same part 10 trillion times. I refused to give up thou. The boss, sort of a let down. His first phase was the hardest but even then it wasn't that hard. His second phase A.K.A the Cassandra phase since he likes to dance like her was the easiest with his third phase falling between the first and second. Maybe he was redone for the port? I never reached him on N64 so I can't say yes or no. I finally can put it to rest, just like I saved Hyrule I saved Termina. 3 Zelda titles down, several more to go!
Hi everyone? How are you all doing? Im doing ok considering things. I had a terrible Saturday though. I was crazy hungover. I was tired but couldn't sleep. Today though had been good. I played a lot of Helldivers. Have you played it? I think its awesome. It is a very challenging game that encourages you to play with others. It has a lot nice touches that I could mention but it would be time consuming. Great game. Highly recommend it for some quick rounds of objectives here and there.
Starting something a little bit new here. On Sundays I'm going to write up what I did all week, my work week being Tuesday to Saturday, and then on Monday nights do my weekend, Sunday/Monday.
