Okay, here's the deal. I like doing top 10 lists. For some reason I got it into my head to do a series of top 10s about each year in the 2000's – because hey, that's when I truly became a gamer. I mean, I gamed before then, sure, but this was when I went from kid who plays games sometimes to kid who religiously buys Playstation magazines. And then reads them at school in his lunch break.
I havent done too much other than lurk here for the past few months but I thought I'd drop in and say hi. I'll get back to blogging sometime, just been a bit emotionally stressed and not up to it I guess. It's also hard with all the bullshit going around lately. If you want my opinion to put it simply we all share a common interest in video games we should be friends not at each other's throats.
Hey folks. About a week or so ago, I went on vacation to Disney World with my dad’s side of the family. I took a lot of pictures and wrote about what I did at GamerDad.com (mainly because it’s just easier to post pictures there). But here are links to those articles if you’d like to read them and see the pictures I took!
My son alerted me to the fact that I have stuff in our Steam inventory to give away or trade.
Holy crap, it's been a while since I blogged! It's been a busy and slightly stressful summer and I just didn't have the energy to game, much less blog. But, with the end of summer and the start of fall comes seasonal lay-off, the Getaway, and cooler temperatures, all of which contribute to less stress (other than money issues) and a desire to fire up my consoles again.
So get this Pixlbit, early Saturday morning, for some odd reason I woke up at 5am. Why 5am? No idea but I was up and I couldn’t go back to sleep. I didn’t want to turn the TV on because I couldn’t find the remote and I refused to leave the bed so I started playing some stuff on the tablets. I decided to try and see if my Nexus was still able to do the time hack. If you don’t know what this is, the time hack is basically you roll the clock on your device two hours after you played a stamina based game to trick the game to thinking time past and your stamina bar is refilled. Apparently it works and I spent the next four hours swiping away and building up a couple of my characters so I could make a run at completing the game.
So im sure you have games thats rare and if you think you dont you may be surprised to find out you may have a rare game.
Well im on a tight game budget you know kids and family and bills but I manage to pick up a few so here we go.
In my continued quest to bring you the best in different chips or crisps if you come from the other side of the pond this weeks flavour is Haggis and Cracked Black Pepper. Yes folks, haggis! To quote Grounds Keeper Willy "Chopped heart and lungs boiled in a wee sheep's stomach! Tastes as good as it sounds".
So, Alien Isolation was reviewed today and it got a low score on IGN. Predictably, a bunch of idiots who have barely worked out how to speak English yet had a problem with a game they've never played and therefore can't really have an opinion of getting a low score. They're saying things like "Games can't be too hard you casual!" and "A game can't be too long!"
Hey, hey, hey it's almost Halloween! You know what that means? It means nothing actually. I'm far too old to be going around the neighborhood in costume to get candy. Though it is a frightening possibility that I easily could. And also I will most likely end up working that day. So even giving away candy to kids is out of the realm of possibility for me. Anyways horror games are some of the most unique experiences in our interactive medium today.
Greetings and Happy Friday Pixlbiticans! The weekend is finally here (almost for some of you good people). Any fun weekend plans? The weather is supposed to be getting cooler but apparently the local weather thinks high 90s-low 100s is cool. Anyways while walking around the local swapmeet this song came on
I finally got my Super Mario RPG Blog finished! Holy cows! only took me...MONTHS! But with things chaning I have been finally feeling the blogging groove come back! Also I am thinking of doing something fun for October like Horror theme blogs for video games/anime/movies/etc. So Super Mario RPG is not Horror but...it's a horrifyingly awesome game so it works!
It's October! I'm blanking on the significance of this particular month, but congrats nonetheless! (I have no idea what I'm trying to convey here, but I'm leaving it in.)
