Now before I go getting hated on for feeling this way, let me explain. Last year I got platnium, just like this year and last year the reward I choose really made me feel like collecting those points that year were utterly worth it. If yall saw my Christmas blog I got the Majora's Mask CD Soundtrack that had 2 CD's to it and pretty much 50 tracks a piece for each one. This collection practically had every single song to sound on the game in it. That item itself made last years points worth it. Yall know me, I normally buy games at full new buy price. Especially the first time I buy a game. I like to do whats needed to support the developers especially if its a game I know ill enjoy and after recieving that Soundtrack last year it was totally worth it. This year, their only offering digital games as their rewards. I utterly feel reaching platnium was truely a waste. Digital games that cost around 7 to 14 bucks maybe 1 or 2 are worth 20? Seriously Nintendo? I honestly dont even know if I wanna take the time to collect the coins this year....this is a big let down and I was super excited.
So I couldn't resist and bought it today on GOG to get the DRM free version.
For those of you who've yet to find out, EA announced a new service of theirs that will be coming to Xbox 1.
It may have taken me an inordinate amount of time but towards the end of last month I finally managed to finish up Conception II. All in all it's a pretty good game, and I had a blast.
UPDATE: Arkham Asylum won by a landslide, so I'll be playing that, and also mixing in some COJ Gunslinger to break up the monotony. I ended up playing Arkham Asylum for about an hour tonight, and I'm thinking it might be a slog...could take a whole week for me to finish, and I'll definitely be using a guide. I started to collect the Riddler trophies and solve the riddles...but grew sick of the backtracking, really really fast. I played Gunslinger for about 20 minutes and finally beat the Curly Bill Brocius boss fight that'd given me trouble months ago. I may still pick a PS2 game to round it all out. Thanks for your input, everyone!
...Welp I've been preoccupied...With practicing with my Tablet and trying to doodle or finish some by now, older sketches I started and poked at here and there..Also as i mentioned before, been using my Notebook.(Or tumblr page...)To try to get back to writing kinda like I pretty much started doing around 1Up..Starting to get the mindset for it back..Just need to try and adjust to when exactly or how exactly can a make it easier to be even a tad more consistent..(Maybe 'port' some of the posts to here too..)...Oh and I have also been a tad destracted by game news..Mostly surrounding Under Night and the lates Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and WiiU...Luckly my older brother bought a WiiU sometime back so we got the system for the WiiU version..(That is so far slated to be released in "Holiday 2014" on the offical webpage currently...) The 3DS version is set to release around October..(..So far yet..So close...)Speaking of the 3DS version, I will likely try to get a copy..But also a 3DS...Hopefully soon but not entirly certain on that. Also..I assume nearly everybody.(Or..At least those who have been keeping up/browsing news and info surrounding it have found..)Has seen as far as I have heard, the latest character indroduction video for Smash Bros. featuring 2 new characters plus one returning character..
that's unlike the previous one only in that I played nothing but EDF 2025 all day and never took any breaks for 3DS games.
So I decided to challenge myself and do a run of Last of Us as a way to commemorate the release of Remastered tomorrow. But what makes this a challenge?
I was thinking of picking up Spy Fox in Dry Cereal but I already have all the others. It might not be AAA like say Mr. Potato Head Saves Veggie Valley which was my GotY in '95 but still a great game.
The Room is an acclaimed puzzler from Fireproof games that has been available on iOS and Android for ages now but as of today it is available on Steam in a Super Happy Mega Fun Time version.
Well Happy Monday good people of Pixlbitland 3D! I hope your weekend was full of excitement and you can’t wait to get this good week started! My weekend was good, I had a strong CD Sunday where I found some interesting albums, which I will share with you folks on Friday, and I knocked another game off Mount Backlog. This game was surprisingly a lot of fun considering my lack of enthusiasm for the subject. I finished the main storyline for Lego Hobbit on the Playstation Vita.
On July 29th Canada gets a LoS PS4 bundle for $449.99.
a day where I played some Mii-Plaza games, EDF 2025 and Weapon Shop de Omasse.
As I sit here writing this, I’m in shock and a little stunned. We just released the 50th episode of Nerds Without Pants, and I can’t believe we’ve come this far. I’m kind of known for my self-deprecating nature, and anyone who’s ever listened to the show can attest to this. With that said, I’d like to take a little time to toot our own horn, thank some people, and point out my ten favorite episodes we’ve done so far.
Jesus H Christ people are ignorant. I seriously hate scouring the internet some days. I forget how awful people are occasionally. And since so many of you think I'm a raving feminazi for some retarded reason, I decided to pick on a feminist who just went full retard.
So on a whim, I tried signing into my super-old GOG account that I didn't even know still worked...and was able to sign in. I had this little gem from a far-back purchase waiting for me:
One bit of news at Comic-Con is that Sam Raimi is producing The Last of Us movie while Neil Druckman, who wrote the video game, is writing the script. Ever since it was first rumored, however, many people have been against a Last of Us movie. How it would condense too much from a fifteen hour game. How it would probably not tell the story as well as the game did. I agree with both of these notions one hundred percent. And I am also one hundred percent on board with this movie.
In continuation of my recent foray into comic books, I started reading Watchmen this week. Hard to know what to expect when reading something so famous but so far it has been very interesting. Up to this point it's been almost entirely backstory (aside from the little bit that's been happening with Rorschach). I keep wondering when the "present day" is going to kick into high gear but at the same time I can't seem to put it down.
One of Nintendo’s most popular sports titles on the Wii was Wii Sports. So when the Wii U first came out, naturally Nintendo had a Wii Sports title for that, too. But they released it a little differently. Shortly after the launch of the Wii U, you could download and play games on Wii Sports Club. You could pay for each sport separately or pay to play by the hour. But now Nintendo has just released a disc copy of Wii Sports Club with little to no fanfare, so I thought I’d write about it a bit in this blog.
And I must say, I see what the fuss is about. Simple RPG mechanics make this highly addictive. It's definitely one of those games that you can play while laying down on your couch.
