A lot of bad games exist in this good world. Without a little guidance from a review or friend’s recommendation it can be easy to stumble upon a pile of turds before finding a golden prize. Sometimes a game doesn’t click with reviewers and most of my friends give me fair warning, yet I’m still pulled towards the title and end up finding something very special. Sometimes you just need to find your own games to love and not worry what others think.
Well after reading Chris Y reveiw of The Guided Fate of Paradox I decided I couldnt live without it lol!! After all its NIS and although tough to find in its original case I did find Tales of Grace.
Media a Day - I'm going to try and consume some type of media every day and talk about my experiences on here, with the one other rule being that I have to play or reminisce about one video game every day, using backlogger's fortune cookie thing, suggestions, memories that pop into my head, etc. I may choose to podcast this stuff in the future, we'll see (sorry, Matt; I'm curious why you're so averse to podcasts). So Im gonna start posting a motivational picture everyday. While I know everyone isnt out to lose weight were all working towards goals. All types of goals, motivation is good for any goal. It helps keep you going especially when things get tough. Now might there be a day or 2 that I cant post? Maybe but I am going to try to atleast do this everyday, even if it is the first thing I do when I wake up.
I got my $19.99 back from accidentally buying Deadly Premonition twice. I have now taken my credit card off my account so that I can't do that again.
Hello all! Well, I guess I didn't quite last the whole month. I intended to, but after that Vday blog, I lost all my energy to continue. It put me in a funk, I think, which is hard to get out of. Plus, I learned that the girl I had feelings for is sleeping with someone else, so I had to try and get over it.
Well, that was a pretty dissappointing month if you ask me. I didn't officially finish a single game and I gave up on BaD. That is not to say that I have been unproductive.
Well, I think we can say BaD was a rousing success this year. Not all of us finished a blog a day (I didn’t – missed one or two) but that doesn’t matter. For those that did, I commend you. There were some great blogs this month, with standouts by Greenman and Gigantor, who managed to write deep, industry related blogs every day. Then there was Travis’s Kong a Day (crippled by that infernal Frothy Bird!) which I enjoyed as well. I can’t remember everyone’s blogs, but I made sure to read as many as I could, and commented as much as I could. Some of you gave up, some of you tried your best, some of you managed to do all 28 days. All in all, I think it was an exceptional turnout, and really an example of how awesome this community is.
(...At least at the time of writing this..)Well...I've been working on stuff and chillin' with my side hobbies when not busying myself but..With recent mini-projects that been sorta hard to get to side hobbies..(Plus recent life stuff.)But one of the things I've been working on as a bit of a project,is something that started as a request of sorts.(Didn't actually figure it was gonna be this specifically at the time..) During,or near the end of 2013 in December I think it was...I was asked if I did requests by a deviantArt user and since that was pretty much the first time I was asked about that.(Funny I know considering I've been sporadically active on deviantArt for apparently,roughly 5 years..)Kinda surprised and a little nervous it turned out to be an Original Character..But I was also kinda surprised at the pretty discriptive info he had.(Even if it was all still a bit rough.)Made it a a bit easier to come up with the character.(Although had some rough spots since I have mostly been used to drawing out characters from my head..)Still working on some things though but he's pretty much done linework-wise..And is only roughly done color-wise..(Although not fully decided but I threw together a "demo" of sorts..)I find some of the ideas behind him..Facinating.~
So I failed to post one more BaD blog in time. My excuse? Work. I'm drowning in overtime hours. I come home and all I have time to do is watch a hour or two of tv or game and then sleep. I wake up, clean and dress up and head back to work for 12 hours. That's what it has been like from Monday through Thursday. I can't blog with no energy and even less time.
Wow what an experience BaD was for me. I don't know if I can keep up with the daily blogs. I would like to make some more detailed and in depth type blogs rather than just updates everyday. So I might do weekly or bi-weekly would be ideal for me. Add some fitness and nutrition stuff with gaming. We breaking an old age stereotype woooooo.
I made so many purchases in February its ridiclous! However Feb was a tough month, it had a lot of good of course but its share of depression and bad. Sadly I love to buy shit when Im down, normally though instead of clothes and shoes like some chicks I swing toward other things like Games, Music, Movies, and Books.
They both sit at 5.8 million units sold, but PS4 has just barely outsold it. In only a few months, PS4 has outdone Wii U, which has been out for over a year! Amazing!
