So it finally happened. Crash Bandicoot was coming onto a system I actually owned. I could not be any more excited to play the hell out of that game, it was the first GBA game I was super excited for. At the time, I played the hell out of it, and upon returning to it, I found that there was a lot to like.
I like story-driven games. If I'm going to invest a lot of time in a game, there has to be something that interests me, and usually it's a story. That's why I love most Japanese RPGs - there's a story, it may be cliched, but there's a story. KOTOR hooked me the same way, even though I'd figured out my character's actual identity within the first 15 minutes of the game. It's why most fighting games and most FPS games don't interest me all that much, not enough of a story to keep me hooked. Exploration is the other key to my like or dislike of a game. I need to explore the environment. It doesn't have to be an open world, but there needs to be enough nooks and crannies to check out in outside areas, as well as drawers and cupboards to poke my nose into in houses and other buildings.
Hello, all! I have been completely MIA from PixlBit the entire weekend so I could finish up a project I've been working on. I'm going to keep this brief, since I am completely exhausted from working on the ridiculous thing.
Well, I was a bit BaD last week. Most of the time I had no internet, and I was moving and getting ready for college. Now I'm back at college, I've settled in, and I'm ready for another list.
Played a bunch of Borderlands 2. Collected a bunch of achievements and then restarted the game on Vault Hunter difficulty. Gaining levels a lot faster, enemies a lot tougher, the battles a lot more enjoyable and hectic. I am still dying alot being an Assassin. It's hard to keep these bull rushing enemy off you long enough to site them with your sniper rifle. Bacially I feel like a very weak player in this game.
First of all, I need to get back to work, as this is about how I feel realizing how much I have to do very soon, after wasting my Friday and Saturday doing mostly nothing:
Video games are terrific. They provide a release from the harsh reality that is life. But don't you wish you could do something from a video game? Or how about things you shouldn't? We all know that video games are fantasy so take this as a wish list if you will. Now a reminder your top five may be different than mine.
Hey Pixlbit, currently I am watching the Bobsled event in the Winter Olympics and videos on YouTube. I come across a walkthrough video of Thief and couldn't ignore it. I had to see some current gameplay other than videos from E3 or some other channels who posted some a few months ago. I'll admit, the game looks pretty good. The graphics could use a little work, but the whole stealing aspect is great. One thing I don't understand is the currency in the game. I understand that you use that money for upgrades and what not, but can't you just steal those too? I mean, from what I've seen you steal pricy items from jewlery to silverware.
The particular cause for out-breaks can vary from one man to another, if you have acne in your face, shoulders, neck, again or any portion in your skin. Due to these variants, we could decide the goods that operate the most appropriate for particular kinds of acne. We also can choose these products which will totally finish the employment of eliminating acne.
So I beat Strider today. A few thoughts:
I picked this up yesterday even though I have the original on Xbox. I wound up buying that one after succumbing to morbid curiosity and a recommendation from one guy who goes by the name of Broken H 'round these parts. Yes Ben it was your fault. LOL
Now that you're blinded, I will be firing away with my MIND BULLETS!
So today I found myself waking up thinking I was late for work because it was still dark out and didn't bother to check to see the PM/AM setting. But, that's not all today. I've also found myself watching and playing games with glitches and or bugs. We've all come across them in one way or another. At times they break a game, at times they amuse you. But where would we be if we didn't try to exploit game programming to either cheat or find things in games we aren't supposed to?
I've got the shuttle now and I'm back in Lhant.
Blake's blog just reminded me that I saw Thor: The Dark World in the campus theater on Thursday, and unlike the first Thor, which was my least favorite of the Marvel movies pre-Avengers, it was awesome.
