Two heads up: Literally time I've tried recording PB & Jason today, my cat has gotten in the way. Literally. At one point, he even managed to get his foot snared in my keyboard cable.
So E3 just pretty much happened and the overall reception from this year was that Sony kicked ass and stole the show. Yes much to everyone's speculation Sony came out on top by telling gamers what they wanted to hear. Sure there was a slight blip on the PS4 radar with PS+ online, but it's a small blip in an otherwise growing trend where online is just better structurally than it was years ago and that it just makes business sense.
I preordered the PS4 today on Amazon. I cant afford the 100 dollar asking that Gamestop wants right now. If in July they still have some open I will switch to them but for the moment Im keeping my Amazon one. Im gonna save up the money and then put it in my bank before it ships. Im excited for the PS4, Sony didnt let me down at E3 so Im really happy right now. Anyone else preorder yet?
It is quite possible that I am going crazy, otherwise it is the caffeine. Starbucks' Sumatra is so good. The past week has been quite crazy for me. We have been slowly moving, and getting acquainted with a wonderful new neighborhood. On the downside, my high tech coffee maker is still packed away, and so I have had to go out for my morning brew. The other problem with moving is the surprising annoyance of moving your internet.
Earlier today, Nintendo had it's Nintendo Direct and while they didn't have too many things to show, they showed off games I'll be buying. I'll post a blog with the highlights or rather games I liked. There was once announcement that was particularly awesome to me:
Hello Pixlbit! Here’s a quick blog about my thoughts over what I saw yesterday with iOS, Star Wars Battlefront, and the new PS3
Without getting too much into the whole console war thing which seems to be the main topic of discussion on the net, I thought we could use this place to discuss "games". The first day of E3 saw press conferences from two major console leaders and top third party companies, so lets discuss our favorite games.
For years, I preached about my dislike for Microsoft. That they didn't care for their customers. That they treated these customers like they were all buccaneers. That they would nickel-and-dime people to death. That they didn't care about quality when it came to their hardware. That they would defecit spend their way to success since they could. People continued to support this company that treated them like fecal matter when it came to customer service or talked down to their customers at press conferences.
I can't go into deeper detail but I'm sure all now know the utter CURBSTOMPING Sony gave to Microsoft during their conference on the Playstation 4. Unlike Microsoft's conference that didn't ANSWER any of my questions on used games/ constant on/ DRM, Sony did the opposite and told me everything I needed to know. I can't find the actual video of the announcement but this video on how to share PS4 games is the nice icing on the cake.
Just heard this from a friend on Facebook who was watching their conference. If I own my games for it (I need this confirmed beyond "plays used games" as per Microsoft's trickiness), I'm sold ... when a price drop happens, and I have the money to spend on consoles.
i officially do not care if there is any sort of DRM or always on policies. Kingdom Hearts 3 just sold me a ps4. The other amazing games also help, but it is mostly kingdom hearts.
With Nintendo's E3 Press Conference/Nintendo Direct just hours away, I thought I might type this last blog on Smash Bros. Since we know that is a game they'll be showing off. It's always a huge event when Smash Bros is announced, but even bigger when they show footage of it, and no doubt it will be huge. I'm really excited to see what they have to show on it, it is my most favorite fighting game ever. The only thing is that we probably wont see it this year at retail and I'm okay with that. However there are some things I want the series to change.
Sorry this is so short- I'm too busy catching bugs!
