Christ I've been away for a while, and believe me - I didn't mean to neglect you, Pixlbit, you minx, but I have been extremely busy with real life - vacation planning, working my ass off, and of course, working on Season 3 of Retro Rampage.
Another week begins and it’s time to update you good folks about what has been going on. Actually nothing really has been going on with the exception of a few game related items, and for the first time since buying my Nexus 7, I’ve decided to change the screen’s appearance from the stock launcher to something new.
I just wanted to take some time to do a couple of things in this blog.
Thought I’d catch you all up. My property manager/land-lord peeps have been going hog wild with inspections. The first one was the standard normal maintenance inspection. The second one was a led paint inspection. And the third? As they didn’t leave the exact time they’re coming or the reason why I couldn’t tell you. I will say it’s getting annoying and this is not the first time my property manager has stepped on my toes. Three inspections in the same month? Cripes, do they think I’m harboring drugs or something?
For those who don't know, I used to do blogs in 1up with that title. They were updates focusing mainly on things I had done lately on videogames, television, movies, music and literature, which I did wherever I had time and/or weren't lazy.
In light of this (sort of) recent article (two words: PERSONA 5!!!), and of course the recent release of a huge pile of SMT/Persona goodness (aka Devil Summoner Soul Hackers and Persona 2 EP (despite the fact it’s a port and not the upgraded PSP/Vita version... meh).... just wanted to capitalize on the awesomeness that is Persona and take the time to delve into the many, many, many characters I’m sure (quite a few of us) have become oh so fond of over the years.
It's no secret that the Playstation Vita is hurting for games right now. Yeah, Soul Sacrifice Tuesday, sure, but after that it's a wait until Muramasa and Jak Trilogy ports in June, then whenever Killzone, Tearaway, Arkham Origins: Blackgate, and Phantasy Star Online 2 hit later in the year. Sorry, but for a system in its second year, that's pathetic. In all fairness, 3DS's lineup last year left much to be desired as well, but I would not say to the same extent Vita is at now and the thing finally got its shit together now. Nevertheless, Vita is being marketed as a portable console, so I figured, why not make a list of ports that would fit well on the thing?
Well, according to an IGN article I read recently, the new XBOX will in fact be always-online, as confirmed by an unofficially official source named Thurott, a blogger who, based solely on that last name, I assume to be a huffy Englishman. Also, the article writer was a guy named Goldfarb, which I believe is a slang term heard on the streets of Ice Compton; it's an Eskimo name for "goldfish wo farts many times," and as we all know those things don't tend to get along with huffy Englishmen, so take the news with a grain of salt.
All my remaining DS and PSP games are up and half of my original Xbox collection.
I finished up Gacaumelee. That was an awesome game and a great fit to play on the Vita. Games like that will easily have me play my Vita more. I first started on the PS3 and then went to the Vita and like how it easily transitioned and played great on both. I would like an easily transition from the PS3 to PS4 as well as the next Xbox but what I mean by this is simply having a lot of the multiplatform games planned for the PS3/360 available on the next gen systems. It would be nice to have the best version, already grow the next gen library faster, and move on quickly. What are those games? A lot of them are obvious choices that I would assume most would want.
I've always considered myself to be a pessimist. I feel our society is obsessed with dancing to the Decadent Dance. Celebrity worship is out of control and too many people have their entire lives online for all to see, We are getting dumber and dumber. You don't think so? Go watch some T.V. commercials where they have to put in small print that these are actor portrayals or need to re-iterate that these are "real people" and not actors. Everything has to be spelled out in big bold letters for them. The biggest concern is that way too many people's entire social life is online, where they can see or read what they have to say but never meet them in the flesh, And then you have the message board moderator.
So i did this vid on my ps2 games so part one is just some and i will do more later.
A simple and straight-forward game full of nothing but charm.
Last week I bought a new game. It was only $15.00 brand new and I had played the demo and I liked what i played so I took a chance and bought it.
Yesterday alot of you might of heard of some really shocking news: Nintendo wont be at E3. Alot of people might of said "Oh noes, Nin10doh iz calling it quitz" Or "Nintendo has thrown in the towel". And this one "Nintendo fucked up with the Wii U's hardware and wont be able to compete with the PS4 and the XBox Truck (Durango is also the name of a Dodge truck, and a place in Mexico)". Well maybe that last one may be true to the haters and all, but Nintendo being or not being at E3 doesn't matter. And is E3 still relevant anymore?
Ok so went to my local gamestop for lunch and found this ps2 gem Dokapon Kingdoms for $5.99 on amazon disc only $30 then although i didnt have the money i saw Fatal Frame II Crimson butterfly for $17.00 and im hoping it will still be there Tuesday when i get paid and by the way Fatal Frame is a $50 game all day so hopefully know one gets it . But in all i was glad to get the one game anyway.
