Goddammit, I'm sick of not playing enough video games!  I'm downloading the original Witcher on my computer, and installing Dark Souls 3 on my PS4.  IT's time to get busy with video games, man!

I've been feeling the urge for weeks, but I usually can't tear myself away from my work. No longer! From now on I will force myself to play video games so I can goddamn chill! Arg!

I dunno, if it's forced, are you really going to enjoy it? There are some games I force myself to complete 100% and at about the 65% mark, I start thinking "oh, just END already!"

well, I wouldn't force myself so much as that, but just kind of try to motivate myself to relax more.  I tend to work on my books or marketing all day, or at least think about them, and rarely get out of my own head. I think it would be good for me.

Now that's true. Part of how I worked myself into a depression last year was I thought about whether I was a good enough teacher ALL THE TIME. I had to stop. I still care, but I allow myself not to think about it unless I absolutely have to work on something.

yeah I put a lot of pressure on myself and don't get really get a lot of time where I'm not thinking about my projects.  I need to change.

That's interesting. I gotta stop worrying about performance too. Sometimes being too self conscious is a bad thing - self doubt and all that.

I bought a physical copy of The Witcher years ago and I still hadn't played it.

Good luck forcing yourself to play those games.  I tried many times and failed.

yeah it's hard sometimes to find the time/energy/focus.  But I'm working on it.

I was thinking the opposite until today when I quit my job. Now I want to chill like I've never chilled before. For a week or two anyway. Then it's back to the plan at hand.

I'm trying to get really focused on the work I really want to do in this life, and then I'm going to do it, job or no. I'm not going to worry about money right now. It's more important for me to get focused. I have some savings and something left by my dad, so I can take some time and figure things out. I was going to take the summer off to do this, but I just couldn't stand the new methods at my job any longer. I feel like a mindless drone. I can't work like that for very long. I've been badly depressed for months and it was just a matter of time before I walked out. I really wanted to last until May and leave smoothly with a 2 week notice, but now I may have burned my bridges. Well, it's what I've always done. Burned the bridge.

I think that's cool man.  Life is short. You gotta do what your heart tells you.  That's how I live my life too.

I just hope I don't have to scrounge for a lousy job again. I mean, I probably will, but I'd like to think I won't.

When you play the first Witcher, the best thing you can do is learn all the potions and knife coatings oil and keep yourself stocked with all of them. If you  dont, that game will make you cry and break your soul.

You need to fix this situation and get even more games! Tongue Out

Enjoy the games man but remember to knock a couple of them off of Mount Backlog.
