So yeah, still playing far too much Animal Crack Crossing. It doesn't help when Cary keeps feeding my addiction by sending me presents on a daily basis, lol. Thank you, Cary! I have, however, been quietly amassing a bunch of other games.
Physical copies (other than Animal Crossing and LoZ Breath of the Wild) are Collection of Mana, Octopath Traveler, and Super Mario 3D All Stars. Here is where I admit to never actually having spent more than maybe 30 minutes on any Mario game in the past.
Digital games I've added are pretty varied. Having regretted giving Lego City Undercover away to my nephew, I bought that one again, also Picross S, Gone Home, Kentucky Route Zero, Glass Masquerade Double Pack, A Short Hike, Cat Quest (I needed something silly, don't judge, lol), Burnout Paradise Remastered, Mini Motor Racing X, and Star Ocean First Departure R.
I'm putting off Breath of the Wild and Octopath Traveler for winter, I've dabbled a bit with Cat Quest (game is far tougher than it looks, I have died many times over), A Short Hike, and Kentucky Route Zero. I've played enough of Super Mario 64 to rage quit, gotten into Super Mario Sunshine (and then got pulled back into Animal Crossing), and remembered how hard early video games were with Collection of Mana. Learned I suck at controlling the car in Mini Motor Racing X (I'll get better, I'm sure), and got sucked into Star Ocean First Departure this afternoon. I've also finished a couple of games already, and jotted down a few thoughts below. if you haven't played Gone Home and want to, stop reading now.

Gone Home was good. I love a good story-driven game. It did hit pretty close to home for me for a bunch of reasons - Coming out as trans three years ago was one of the hardest things I've ever done. And one of my nephews was disowned by his father for being gay.
Glass Masquerade was kind of fun, I like jigsaw puzzles but can't do them at home because of my cat. I bought it because I remembered Cary wrote a review about it and it sounded lie something I'd like. I did, but there wasn't a lot of replay value there.
I love the Picross games. Picross S was fun, and I solved all the puzzles probably a bit too quickly. It was kind of like when I open a bag of White Cheddar Cheetos Puffs (aka Cheese Crack in my house), once I start, I have a hard time stopping. Luckily, there seem to be several other games in the series for future puzzle solving fun.
