Hey folks, here’s another blog with links to game reviews I’ve written recently.  Please click on as many as you can and maybe even leave a comment or two.  I’d really appreciate it.  At this time of year it’s also a tradition of mine on this blog to do my Pretend Present Christmas Party.  Those who remember this from 1up know how this works, but if you don’t, I’ll explain it anyway.  In the comments section, leave a message with a pretend present for me, something that you think I would like.  It can be anything you want.  It’s the thought that counts—literally!  Best part is, it won’t cost you anything!  Then, when I reply to your comment, I’ll post a pretend present for YOU!  It’s a silly game, but it’s fun when it’s fun.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!  And now on to the reviews!

Now that the PS4 is out, I always like to take a look back at the previous console and honor it by listing my favorite games for it.  Last time we looked at my favorite PS3 disc-based games that you have to buy at retail.  Now we’ll look at my favorite games I downloaded on PSN!

Whenever a new console comes out, there’s a lot of excitement centered around it.  That’s why whenever that happens, I like to take a look back and honor that console’s predecessor.  So in this two-part blog series, we’re going to take a look at my favorite PS3 disc-based games.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is being released soon, and I’m really excited about it.  As a big fan of classic top down Zelda titles, I’m super happy for this one since it’s a sequel to the SNES A Link to the Past.  So in honor of the release of this new Zelda title, here are my top five favorite Zelda characters, just for fun!

Recently I reviewed a downloadable PS3 game called Girl Fight.  It’s a 3-D fighting game with an all-women cast.  Usually in fighting games, the female characters are more interesting than the guy characters.  So it makes sense to make a whole fighting game with them.  Unfortunately, while the fighting gameplay mechanics in Girl Fight are at least somewhat decent, the characters in the game are not very interesting at all.  But that’s not going to stop me from writing about them anyway!  Yep, this is a filler blog.  You know I like to write about fighting game characters, even if I don’t know anything about them!

The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney game series is my favorite series on the DS.  The newest in the saga: Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies is out now this week on the 3DS eShop.  I’m a little sad that it’s not getting a retail version, but if digital is the only way that Capcom could release it in the US and still make money, then I’ll happily download it that way!  Just need to get me a Nintendo Points card!  Anyway, Phoenix Wright games are like point and click adventures where you search crime scenes to find clues and evidence, and then use what you find in court to catch witnesses telling lies.  One of the best things about these games is the cast of colorful and fun characters, so in honor of the release of the newest game, here are my top five favorite Phoenix Wright characters!
