The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD was just recently released for Wii U, and it’s a pretty darn nifty remake, too.  It’s just another good example of why I still like the GameCube better than the Wii.  And it’s great that so many more people are going to finally be able to enjoy this game, since a lot of folks shunned the original release because of the cartoony graphics.  Which is a shame because it’s one of the most visually stunning Zelda games out there.  It’s also a pretty special game for GamerDad.com, too, because if I’m not mistaken, the original Wind Waker was the first game that was reviewed on the site!  I didn’t review it, as I discovered the site a couple of months after it had started, though.  Anyway, Wind Waker HD got me to thinking about other Zelda games that should be remade or re-released into collections of sorts, so here are my top five Zelda games I want remade!  But be warned, some of my choices you might disagree with!

It’s that time of year again.  All the holiday game releases start bunching up, so I have to eat a can of spinach, transform into Super Cary, and start reviewing games like a madman.  So you may see these game review list blogs more often for the next couple of months.  As always, please click on and read as many reviews as you can and post comments on them, too.  I’d really appreciate it.  Thanks.

The late summer, early fall time is what I like to call ‘fair and circus season.’  You don’t see them much anymore, but used to around this time of year, I would always see little travelling circuses and carnivals set up in the parking lots and open fields around town.  Plus it’s also the time of year that the Texas State Fair opens.  And what do you usually see at all these fairs, circuses, and carnivals?  Clowns!  So in honor of those silly and sometimes scary merrymakers of mirth, here are my top five favorite clowns in video games!  Plus, with Halloween coming up, I thought this would be a good idea since some do find clowns frightening.

Here’s just another collection of game reviews I’ve written in the last month or so.  There’s some good ones this time, so I hope you all can read and comment on as many as you can.  And thanks to everyone who read my birthday blog last time and gave me pretend birthday presents!  It’s not too late if you still want to give me one. Hey folks, guess what this Sunday, Sept. 15 is?  It’s my birthday!  Yay!  It’s been a tradition for me to have a pretend birthday party on my blog, so I’ll do the same thing this year!  In the comments section, if you like, you can give me a pretend birthday present!  Pretend birthday presents are great because they can be anything you want, and they won’t cost you any money!  It’s the thought that counts…literally!   And if you give me a pretend birthday present, you can have a piece of my pretend birthday cake.  Heck, if you like, you can have a million slices, since it’s pretend.  My pretend birthday cake has no calories and can be any flavor you want!  Plus, if you eat my pretend birthday cake, you’ll get pretend super powers like super strength and laser eyes!  So have fun!

Well I got back from PAX earlier this week, and I just got finished writing my PAX articles for GamerDad.com.  So here’s a short blog with links to the write-ups so you can see what games I played and things I saw and took pictures of.  Sorry that I’m not posting any of the pictures and articles here.  I went as a member of the media for GamerDad.com, so I figured my articles would need to be there only.  Anyway, I sure would appreciate it if you all were able to click on and read the articles and stuff.

One of the games I got recently was Dragon’s Crown on the PS3.  It seems like it would probably be a better fit on the Vita, but since I only have a PS3, I’ll just be happy with that version!  I thought it might be fun to write a little bit about the characters you can control in the game, so here’s a short blog about the fighters you can play as.  I was in a silly mood when I wrote this, so be warned!

Very few video game characters get their own cartoon show.  And even fewer get multiple shows based on their electronic adventures.  I think only Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man have pulled that last feat off, maybe Street Fighter if you count the anime toons.  And now, Pac-Man has done the very same thing.  All through this summer, the classic arcade dot and ghost muncher is starring in a brand new computer animated cartoon series called Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, airing on Disney XD.  As a huge Pac-Man fan, you KNOW I’d be writing about it sooner or later.  So here it is!

Well the summer is winding down, and so is the summer movie season.  So in honor of that, here’s a rundown of the movies I saw this summer.  Slight spoiler warnings here and there, but I promise I won’t reveal too much.
