The Thanksgiving/Black Friday Recap

He's never had a license, which has always boggled my mind, living in a state as rural as Maine. Our largest city has a population of about 65,000, the total population of the state is less than 1.5 million, spread out over a little under 35,000 square miles, with most of the population living on the coast.

It's all pretty much melted here, except that we got about an inch last night and then freezing rain on top, so everything is ice covered. I've decided that going to the laundromat can wait another day, and that, if Jason isn't coming over after work tonight, I have absolutely no reason to drive anywhere today. I've been having fun watching cars on my road slip and slide around since I got up at 6:30.

Apple crisp is a time-honored breakfast food in my family, as is apple pie.

Snow is fun, as long as you don't have to drive in it and it's not so heavy that it drops branches on your house or car, or brings down the power lines.

Ah, the Playstation! I didn't get one until Jason's little brother Ben got a PS2 for Christmas and gave us the ancient, original model hand-me-down that had belonged to middle brother Matt. And then it was all over...

I always loved the annual holidays specials, the Charlie Brown ones were some of my favorites, as well as Rudolph and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. I can't watch them on Network TV anymore, though, because when I moved overseas and lived in a country that didn't have ads on TV, I discovered how much they had cut out of the original shows to make more room for advertising. I'm working on getting my favorites on DVD. I already have Rudolph.

Heard of it, but wasn't really catching on to what it was. So it's essentially Sony's Vita version of the Gameboy Player.

I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about, but congrats on your new toy.

I'm going for Scion of Mothman, myself. Spawn of Mothman works, too, but scion sounds more important (which, by definition, it is).

Can't blog now, Pokemon...

That machinery for the dumbwaiter is way cool! I have a friend who bought an old Victorian and discovered a speakeasy in the basement.
