Just out of curiousity, have you had your wisdom teeth pulled yet? I was getting severe sinus headaches, like too painful to work, and then I had my upper wisdom teeth extracted. Come to find out, one of them had roots that were embedded in my sinus cavity. Something I didn't find out until I sneezed, popped a stitch, and then had salt water coming out my nose when I gargled. I know, TMI. Sorry.
I had a let-down of a weekend after a really awesome weekend last week. I was headed to my uncle's in New Hampshire (about 115 mile trip) for my grandmother's 90th birthday party when my car started dying on me. Luckily, I was only about five miles from home when it happened, so I was able to get back home and then get my car to the mechanic, but it was still a major disappointment to miss the party.
To console myself, I vacuumed the dust off and out of my consoles (see what I did there?) and fired up my 360 and played a couple of games I'd downloaded months and months ago (like last spring). I had a lot of fun with Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, even if I suck at the combat part and didn't get very far. I also played Sleeping Dogs and got hooked. I checked my watch at one point thinking it was maybe 2:00 or 2:30 in the morning and discovered it was actually 4:30. Oops. At least I didn't have to be anywhere on Sunday, especially since the cat woke me up just after I'd fallen asleep by puking next to my pillow and then the dog decided that he had to pee at 7:10. I managed to nap on and off, but fell asleep right after the Patriots' first TD and woke up just as the third quarter was ending.
Being older than many of you, I grew up playing board games. Battleship with my dad and step-brother, Parchisi with anyone I could get to play with me (I used to be the Parchisi queen), Monopoly until we got bored and wandered off to play other stuff, Scrabble with Jason in our favorite coffee shop, Risk with my friends in college, and of course the classic chess, checkers, and backgammon.
I've got that copy of Viva Pinata, too! Nice loot from the swap meet, too.
Ick. You can keep them. The other flavor of crisps that I have no desire to eat is prawn.

I like Dean Koontz. My boyfriend in college really liked his books and that's how I happened to start reading them. I think the first one I read was Twilight Eyes.

Been watching The Shield and a Welsh series called Hinterland.
Been reading lots lately. Reread The Blue Sword, and I'm working my way through Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series. I'm up to book six, I think. Also been doing lots of research for a couple of nature programs I've been working on.
Soup. Eating lots of chowders, soups, and stews, because it's fall in New England and it hasn't gotten about 60 for the past couple of days.
It's been a hectic summer - my boss has taken a lot of time off this summer, which puts me in charge. Plus, it's been our busiest season ever and we lost one of our interns early, and she was the one who helped out the most on the maintenance end of things.
