Cats are good companions, and pets help with depression and anxiety. Go for it. Just remember that vets are frigging expensive. The dog had an ear infection and it cost me $120 just for the initial visit and the ear meds.
Jamie, grab a Tales game, any Tales game. They are all stand alones, so no catching up required. I personally recommend Symphonia as my favorite.

I'm so spoiled - I have several independently owned gaming stores within a 30 minute drive of my house. And they all have reasonable prices.

I am officially old. I don't own an i anything. I did finally break down and buy an MP3 player last fall and I started putting my cds on it and that's as far as I've gotten.
Personally, I don't think it's worth it, but that's just my opinion.
I haven't been paying much attention to what's coming out this year, to be honest. i know that I want South Park and Tales of Symphonia, but that's all I've really noticed.
PSN+ is great if you keep it, but if you don't, then the "free" games are no longer yours. I hae friends who love it and wouldn't be without, but it really didn't impress me all that much. I say try it for a couple of months and decide for yourself.
Don't get me started on broken TVs...
