Those are the types of games I started gaming on. The one I remember that wasn't pinball was a baseball game.

Merle Travis wrote a lot of great songs about coal mining. One of my faves is Dark As a Dungeon. These are more songs that one would work to, as opposed to work-related, though.
Morrowind is pretty good. I liked it, once I figured out what the heck I was doing.
I have fun doing these, even if they are freakin' time-consuming! I spent about four hours on this one alone, if I include research, messages, coming up with an idea, and then finding the videos, and probably another half-hour writing it up. So I appreciate your listening and commenting more than you realize.
I knew you'd like the waulking songs. There was one I almost included, by the same group that did the first song, that has a young girl leading the song that was pretty neat. My friend Holly knows a bunch of waulking songs and sings them in Gaelic.
I'm glad to have reminded you of a good memory. Tom has a CD, might be able to get you a copy. He can't sing like that any more because of vocal chord cancer .
I dunno about MS being the birthplace of all American music, but it may well be the birthplace of the blues.
I blogged for a bit on IGN a few years back. I met some very nice people who were really great about commenting on my blogs, but the site itself isn't geared towards fostering a sense of community.
As for blog ideas, you're on your own. I'm having a hard time coming up with my own lately.
Much like the Irish, folk musicians use any excuse to party.
I remember there was a contest way back when where they asked people to design their own folk and the winner's folk would appear in the game or something like that. And that's all I remember about it, and I'd even forgotten about the game until you just brought it up.
Books! I love books!
I love the first three games that came out for the PS2. The fourth (Deadlocked) was too much of a shooter and not enough of a platformer, based on the demo that I tried and word of mouth from friends I trust. Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank were ported from the PSP, and didn't make the translation very well. Quest for Booty is ok. Story is kinda flat and there are no collectibles, no huge arsenal of weapons, and I don't think there were any skill points, either. Plus, it was incredibly short with little replay value. The only reason I can think of that you should play it is that otherwise there may be a gap in the story.
