The Waiting Room, it sucks. A bunch of people sitting close to each other, a room filled with awkward silence with the occasional small talk. That’s pretty much every waiting room I’ve encountered and last week was no different. The only thing that changed was the guy with the Vita with odd movements trying to shoot down things on their screen. Yeah after being “That Guy” for a couple of minutes I decided to take my odd movements outside.
So I am getting cold turkey..I have not blogged in a while, so I am starting to shake and get cold fevers lol. But on the serious side. I need to blog!
It's been a busy week of wildlife watching for this little ranger, some at work, some at home.
I recently downloaded a digital copy of Just Cause 2 for the 360 during a sale they had. It was $10 and I knew the game was an "open-world sandbox game" so I figured I'd give it a shot. I am so glad I did.
I have been working at my job a lot in the last week or so and have really let myself go in regards to not only writing a new blog, but reading everyone else's. Today, I attempt to rectify that situation. While my girlfriend studies for her rigging test, I'll be gaming and reading and gaming and writing anf if I can possibly work it in, I might do a little gaming as well. Of course, I also have to plan for my Dungeons & Drgaons campaign tomorrow night, but I'm sure it'll all come together nicely.
Well although I couldnt post pics on here I just shot a short vid of my games, and my dlc games so enjoy
If you don't know, today, April 15, is Jackie Robinson Day in Major League baseball, where several ballparks ask all uniformed players to wear the number 42 in honor of the first black baseball player in the modern "era" of Major League Baseball (italic emphasis for those of you that like technicalities), Jackie Robinson, who was started as a first baseman for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947.
Hi Pixlbitians. I hope all of your weekends are going good. =) Just wanted to drop in and say hello, even though I don't have too much to say this week. I see my que of back blogs to read has gotten in the double digits, and I apologize for that. You guys have some really good stuff to read. I promise to get to reading all of them, even though I have to take my time. I had planned to catch up on all of them on the weekend like normal, but then SOMEONE had to post a Felicia Day video and I got really sidetracked. =P
I haven't posted a blog in a while, and this is for good reason! Nothing in my life ever happens, and when stuff actually happens, it happens in such small increments that I have to wait a while for the events to pile up to a socially displayable size. So here goes!
Recently, Leeradical42 wrote a blog about some pirate game that I will look up later and it reminded me of an old game I played on the Apple IIe back in college. I worked in the Learning Resource Center as a peer tutor and pulled a six hour shift on one of the weekend nights, I think it may have been Sunday. Sometimes the LRC was busy that night (midterms, finals, etc), but more often than not it was dead. My friend Ed took pity on me and gave me box of 5 1/4" floppy disks of games. I had Risk, some arcadey sorts of games, and Taipan, which is what the Pirate game reminded me of.
Hey everyone. I know there's those of you who don't know me, since I migrated from 1up, and there's those of you who do, since we followed each other back on 1up. This is my first blog here, because I guess I'm finally just feeling motivated to get to it. I'll just give a quick background first. I'm an 18 year old male, freshman at my local community college going into Applied Computer Sciences for an Associate before possibly doing Full Sail University game design courses online. I have a side hobby of writing, which use to be a possible career option, but I don't have the patience or method to write out an entire book. So now, I mostly write out dreams I have that could make viable dreams. The one I want the most, and what these "My Future Game" blogs will be about, will be called Defenders. Back to that in a second. I have a few artist friends, and my girlfriend who is 15 and I met at church, is also an artist, who happens to enjoy drawing in an anime/manga style. She is doing a lot of character designs for me recently. Now, onto the story. I'll give a brief overview of the whole thing, and then copy-paste two little cutscenes I have script written for.
**I did not write this article! This content is copy-pasta from the following website because I'm at work!**
I hate doing short filler blogs, but I can’t think of anything to write about right now. In another week or two, depending on whether or not I get to review Injustice, that’ll dictate what my next blog will be about. If I get to review Injustice, I’ll probably write something about each character in the game. But if I don’t get to review it, I’ll probably just list my top five favorite DC comic characters, provided I can think of that many. I only will play Injustice if I review it, though, because I’m not going to buy it at full price. So until then, in the comments section just think of questions you’d like to ask me, or things we can discuss. So if there’s something you’d like to know about me or what goes on inside my head, now’s your chance! And I’ve been posting a lot of good reviews lately at GamerDad.com, so check that out, too. OK, ask away!
Since I don't have much of anything speak on at the moment..I'll just put these up since I am not updating this quite as often as most...
Normall I post my new buys in a blog mini series called Updates and buys but I randomly bought 3 games yesterday and while I was gonna wait till tuesday since Ill have Injustice then I said what the hell decided to write this up before work. As some of you know Ive been trying to build my collection back up since I lost it all a few months ago. I actually bought 3 games I have never played nor had previously.
Ive played a lil into this game and it is super fun but super bloody. Which doesnt bother me but if you have a blood tolerance level, just dont go near it. From what I have played they really did create an funny yet fun game using the fairytale characters. I really think once I fully do beat it Ill be posting a good review for it.
Ok I’m going to stop apologising for not regularly blogging, I keep saying I’ll start being more frequent but let’s face it I’m the blogging equivalent of an alcoholic and abusive husband, who spends his wives money down the betting shop. I say I’ll change but they’re just words, when it comes down to it.
These are not at all relevant to Rangergirl's excellent Folk Friday #5 songs today, which are all "work songs" (don't worry, they're fun to listen to, just used for working people to keep rythm, etc.), but listening to those did somehow remind me of a few acoustic songs by heavy bands that I really like, and that work, despite seeming to be completely outside the style the bands typically play in, though I mean that in the public sense, as even most heavy bands write their music acoustically before plugging in the amplifiers to record the album versions.
So I know its Early but as of today What would be your game of the year for either sytem or both? mine would be for the 360 Skyrim and for the PS3 even though I have only seen vids and read about is Ni No Kuni it looks awesome.
Due to work, I don't play a lot of games during the week. From Monday through Thursday (and whatever part of the weekend I choose to finish work before the next Monday), it's damn near impossible to play anything other than the short bursts of time I get from the Vita. I'm still giving plenty of attention to Plants Vs Zombies VIta (gotta build that Zen Garden, sell the plants so I can buy some more shit!).
So today I found a new game store with older games etc, so as the gamer I am I cant go to a game store without buying something so i picked up a couple of games so here they are.
I finallying made the time to write another blog. I wanted to do this a month ago, but I've been a little busy with work, family, and you now..., life. Well, update time.
