Here’s something that dawned on me over the weekend. We are starting to see some of the pre-summer movie releases right now and some of them have a mirroring theme. It wasn’t till I re-watched the movie trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation that I noticed this. Some of the action movies coming out, or soon to be coming out, just happen to have the White House (or the government in general) under siege. Though G.I. Joe: Retaliation didn’t start this trend, it does share the common theme with a more recent movie release that came out this year with Olympus has Fallen.
I bought Resident Evil 6 on release day (10.2.12). This wouldn't be the first game that's taken so long for me to beat, but RE is one of my favorite franchises, and any RE normally would have been beaten by now. This isn't entirely the game's fault. I've been pretty busy the past few months. Really, though, the game would keep my attention if it wasn't so flawed.
Well, I'm done cleaning the trash off the floors and doing basic organization of all the stuff in my room, so tomorrow is doing the shelves/stuff off the ground, dusting and continuing to organize all this crap. Truth be told, it wasn't as bad as I thought, though I still have a half-full XL black trash bag and a TON of crap I didn't want to throw away still around. Most importantly though, I found all my games ... except Pokemon Blue, and there's still packaging missing, but hey, it's mostly there!
I know that pre ordering has kind of taken sort of a bad vibe as well as some of the retials that do it, Gamestop especially but I love being able to pre order a game. I even use gamestop, 2 of the stores in my area have awesome ppl who work at that them and they have always been super friendly and nice to me. As of right now, I have 2 games Pre ordered. I normally have more then that but Im waiting till the games get close to their release date at the moment.
And the answer to that is: plenty, obviously. For instance, my screen name on PixlBit, atrophycosine is the same as my PSN name, and my Xbox Live gamertag. However when I first started "blogging" on gaming websites it was 2005, Xbox Live had only been up for three years, my gamertag for regular Xbox titles was Idolator, and I had already been a forum member on Gamefaqs for a few years under the name tripleconsolegenius (but am now known as forcedbandage which also happens to be my Steam account name).
Well, here I am. A new website to make my world in. After being an avid reader of and occasional writer at 1up, I've followed the exodus of exiles to PixlBit. I am excited by the opportunity to embark on something new; but am also, like many of my fellow expatriates, am saddened by the loss of such a central part of my internet experience for the last eight years. Hopefully I will make more of an effort here then I did at 1up. Not to say I didn't write there, but I bet my total number of blog entries for the last eight years could be counted on hands and feet.
I used a coupon from powerup rewards and got 10.00 off Luigi's Mansion. Last night I registered my code on club nintendo and GOT A FREE GAME DOWNLOAD!!!! I did not realize there was a special going on. Since I just bought the xl and luigi's mansion in the same time frame, I got to choose from Super Mario Land 3D, Professor Layton, and 3 other games I don't care about. I got 3d Land Free. It took a long time to download but it was worth it!! 2 great games for 30.00! Happy gaming weekend to all and enjoy some of the good weather!!

Are you ready for virtual reality gaming in 3D? It's coming, perhaps next year in fact. The Oculus Rift headset is being developed by Oculus VR Inc. right now in hopes of a launch of consumer products in 2014. They received nearly 2.5 million in funds from a Kickstarter campaign. The device was demonstrated back in June of 2012 at E3. Developer kits are ready to go. The device has an effective resolution of 640x800 in stereoscopic 3D. It employs an Adjacent Reality Tracker, which uses a combination of 3-axis gyros, accelerometers, and magnetometers. This allows the image to refresh instantly upon head movement. Uses a USB interface to send the tracking data to the host machine. The images shown here are of prototypes. the finished product will be much more streamlined and easy to wear. Much like a pair of those protective goggles you wear in the workshop.
Last weekend, I visited my parents for the first time since Christmas. While I was over there, I was reminded that my Dreamcast and all available games were in (formerly) my bedroom, just languishing in the entertainment center. I decided that I missed the console and wanted to bring it back with me and I did that very thing. What follows are images of one of the smallest DC collections documented but one that I'm comfortable with. There are some games that I've sold off in the past but I'm happy with what I've got.
I finished my first playthrough of MGS2 HD for my Year of the Snake celebration.
Hey guys! Figured I’d shoot out a quick blog to outline the games that I’m excited about that are coming out this year IN PICTURE FORM! Why picture form!? Because I’m lazy and it’s been a long week and blah, blah, blah, excuses, excuses, excuses….I've only included games that have release dates or at least realistic release windows.
No theme today. Themes take more work than I felt like putting in this week, so today it's just a dozen songs I really like. Playlist is here, for easier listening.
This is a public service annnouncement from mothman's game search.
