Mostly Rockets and Dragons

But first a few games I forgot to mention I played the other day; then EDF 2025 and my failed attempt to start the new Borderlands 3 DLC.

KOTOR

Forgot to mention I played this a few days ago. I got into the undercity, and thinking I was a badass after escaping the ship, beating down some thugs and knocking off several sith interrogators, I got myself killed fighting sith guards. I was a bit annoyed. Why didn’t Carth help more? I'll go back to it sometime. I have it digitally now. It’s not going anywhere.

Decenders

I played this for some rewards points but was pleasantly surprised. This is a mountain bike racing and stunt game with procedurally generated trails. It’s pretty good, but I found the controls a little oversensitive and hard to be as precise as the game wants you to be. I think I probably could’ve tweaked the controls in settings somewhere, but I’m not big on stunts and precision racing. It did make me want to get a bike in real life though. I used to be so into biking in my teens.

EDF 2025

Mark and I finished our race. I won, but not fairly because he took a break to make his lunch while I plowed on. My main thing was seeing how long it takes to run all 85 levels of the game on easy. It was 8 hours 15 minutes. Then I went about hunting achievements I didn’t have. Several were just for kills of a certain enemy. I had to get more giant spiders, killer queen bees, greater world dragons, argos, and red drones. I did all those. There’s only one left for “carriers” which I think is the small transport ship. I still need 185 of them.

It’s kind fun to replay a level over and over. I tried a lot of new weapons and figured out the fastest, or most fun, way to complete a level. I rediscovered the Air Tortoise, which is a giant shoulder held rocket plaform. You lock on to an enemy and watch it launch and slowly chase them. I did a lot of that against the greater world dragons.

Borderlands 3 DLC drop

This was supposed to be ready at noon today, but first there was a 6 GB update and then the DLC proper at almost 4 GB. It was all done very late. I was finishing up EDF, so I never did start it. Maybe this weekend. What happened to digital content, preordered, that loads overnight and unlocks, and is playable, right at the date of official release?

You might be too early in the game to beat those guards

Yeah, like common sense should've told me to leave that area well enough alone, but I did beat down three of them to get the suit to disguise myself to get down there. I thought I could win it. Maybe I should've left the suit on and just walked past them. That would've been smarter.
