I forgot to mention the two digital buys earlier in the week, plus, I need to share what I picked up after Game Boy trade-ins at Game Junkies yesterday. C. O. M. P. U. L. S. I. O. N!

On sale for $4 each, the following two games on Xbox:

Berzerk Recharged - I had this on my wish list for when I was doing twin-stick shooters because the reimagining of Berzerk apparently plays like one. Plus, Berzerk is cool even in its original state.

Metro Last Light Redux - This was the final Metro game I don't have digitally. I need to take a deeper dive into the series sometime. I've only played a few hours each of a couple of them so far.

I traded all my more complicated Game Boy and Game Boy Color games at Game Junkies because I discovered that I like simplier games for my GB and GBC. Large RPGs squashed onto that tiny screen (Zelda Adventures of Link DX, Dragon Quest 1-2 and DQ 3, Final Fantasy Legend III), or an attempt at RTS (Warlocked) rather strain my eyes with those tiny menu screens. Plus, they got me a bundle of in-store credit. I didn't even spend it all. Here's what I picked up.

Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (3DS) for about $30 (cib) - I've been trying to rebuild my 3DS collection and I MUST have the Prof Layton games again. Azran Legacy is the other one if you don't count Prof Layton Vs Phoenix Wright or the really pricey Layton's Mystery Journey which is on Switch anyway along with the most recent one, New World of Steam which I'm dying to play.

Arcana (SNES) My biggest purchase at $50 (loose cart) - I discovered this game just scrolling through SNES games on wiki. It's a traditional RPG like Wizardry for the SNES. I must have! I've avoided it when I was going with cash, but I'll spring for it with store credit, oh yes!

Battleship (Genesis) $5 (cib) - Just curious about this. I know I played it way back. I like all the traditional board games on Genesis. Back in the day it was Risk and Monopoly which are really great on the Genesis.

X-Men (Genesis) $12 (loose cart) - Kind of an impulse buy thinking it was a brawler, but it's more a platform game which I will likely be annoyed with. It'd be interesting to see the character designs in the game though.

PGA Tour Golf II (Genesis) $5 (cib) - The series is classic especially on the Genesis. It hits the right ballance of simple to play, hard to master. There is one more PGA Tour III from the Genesis era I'd like to get. After this they go by year PGA Tour '96 etc... and get more complicated. I like a sports game to have that arcady feel and not bombard me with options like the more simulation titles do.

Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego $12 (case, no booklet) - This was the time of the Carmen Sandiego TV game show for kids I liked with Rockapella doing the music. I just need Where in the World too.

Next week I'll be giving all the Genesis and SNES stuff a spin. I have more tradins of the those system's games I don't really like, but I may wait another week to trade those when I may be onto Playstation and N64 stuff. The 90s is a fun decade for games!

Oh no!  You got rid of Link's Awakening?  That's my number one favorite Zelda game!

Arcana is one of the few HAL Laboratory games I've never played.  They're the Kirby makers.
