I had someone try to convince me this had nothing to do with politics and they're just really successful trolls. I still think they're just idiots.

I've never heard of this, and WTF are people thinking? Yeah let's protest someone by screwing up our own environment. Yep you got him, and he now looks like fool. 

Again, a friend on facebook was trying to convince me that these were successful trolls simply trying to piss people off, and that "trolling is indicative of high intelligence and a sense of humor."

And they aren't even supporting coal energy or taking sides on environmental issues, its just being against whatever Obama supports because Obama. They should attach a hose from the exhaust into the cab and lock their doors if they're so sure it's harmless.

That's the thing that baffles me most: the dumb reason it's being done.

Wow, this would be like a pro gun activist shooting himself and each memeber of his family in the foot. Stuff like this is why I will never win the lottery because I would hunt people like this down and creatively "modify" their trucks. Human stupidity never fails to amaze me.

haven't heard about this. I can see thsi being done if your one of those steam punk enthuseists. But this is quite extreme just to thumb your nose at Obama.I don't care for him but I don't see myself converting my vehicles to do this.
