I just finished reading the second novel in The Strain series. It was a great read. I'm also on the third of the graphic novels now. It would appear that two graphic novel volumes equals one of the text novels.

Yesterday I decided to pick up Shovel Knight. I now have it for PS3, PS4 and Vita thanks to cross-buy. Doesn't really mean much for me at the moment since I don't have a PS4 so I can play it on my TV using either the PS3 or PS TV which isn't really much of a choice.

I received word from my mum last week that my childhood friend Chris just had a tumour removed from his intestines and is undergoing chemo and radiation. They apparently nicked something in the process and he lost a lot of blood. Yesterday I heard that he's lost 42 Lbs and isn't doing well.

I finished Embassytown by China Mieville. It took me six weeks but I did it! Don't get me wrong but in the end it was a good story, just a tough slog through his dense prose, made up words and constant repetition. Very draining but in the end I thought the story and the ideas were very good.
