It's another big dumb day picking up new media to consume. I also hit up the fast food chains: Wendy's for a chicken sandwich and McD's for a hot tea and Miis via Spot Pass. Soon I'll hit up a coffee shop and get my hour of reading done before work. Right now though, I'll share with you all my music and game finds in the wilds of suburbia. See picture below.

I picked up a few new things today. I got some music from the library for my 1970 Metal playlist and I bought some comic trades, both pictured below.

To get ready to download Broken Age Complete on Vita Friday, I went out and looked for a bigger memory card. Doesn't it figure that they just raised the prices on those things? The 32 GB card, once at around $60, is now near $80. That's just outrageous pricing for a memory card! I left Best Buy in a huff, but not before picking up a PSN Card and a protective case for my Vita. I broke a PSP once because I didn't have case. Not again. Here's a picture of all the stuff I got by the end of the day.

I've been getting into current things in my media this week and music was no exception. I was collecting prog rock music from 1970, but I decided to look and what what has come out this year in that genre. I found three titles and picked up one today. This is Steven Wilson's Hand. On Thursday I got the new Mii Plaza games, Ultimate Angler and Battleground Z. The new update that also arrived lets you put games you're finished with in a vault so they don't trigger a reminder to play them every time you bring new Miis to the Plaza. I put away Find Mii and Mii Force. I did about as much as I could with those games and playing through seven games every night would be a bit much. It takes me almost an hour to get through five. It'd keep me up too late to deal with seven.

When all through the house. Not an avatar was stiring, not even a Mii. My 3DS was closed by my laptop with care, with no hope that Reggie would soon be there. . . Then I started this blog.

I replaced my original Xbox with my PS3 today at my friend's place. Between my 360 and PS3, there are a lot of games I can play. Just having access to both online stores lends itself to even more games through download. I think this is the best arrangement of consoles for me at my friend's place. I'd add my Wii as well if there was room, but there isn't. It's ok though. I got a TV at home now and I'm going to try and find some after-work time to play those.

I did a game hunt today. I went to a mall outside my neighborhood to access the other Jay Street Video Games store in my area. This retro store has really grown over the last few years and now it's stocked to the gills with retro goodness. I have a short list of stuff I want to add to the permanent collection.; some I've played, others I haven't but want to. The results are pictured below.

This week I'm focusing on progressive, avant-garde, and jazz-fusion albums released in 1970. I first looked at what I had on my hard drive and then what I had but were vinyl album rips needing to be broken into tracks. Then I took the remaining list and did a library search, and today, I went to pick them all up. See the results below.
