    I finished the first chapter of The Witch and Hundred Knight today. As The Hundred Knight, I was tasked by Metallia to defeat Malia, the witch of the forest, but what did I get myself into. I know Metallia is evil and she's got a serious potty mouth, but wow is she cruel. These are some screen shots of the battle with Malia. I didn't capture the very last few screens or the screens beginning with the second chapter that tell more about what happened to Malia out of respect for spoilers but also because it ups the ante in the cruel department even higher. For a game with such beautiful graphics and character design, there is some seriously dark poopy going on.

So before I talk about what I played, take a look at this.

   I played a lot of LEGO: The Hobbit while my buddy Mark played Assassin's Creed 2 on our respective Xbox 360s this weekend. It all changed suddenly though as a game ending glitch stopped my game and sent me to my 3DS for relief.

     The remastered version of Grim Fandango will be released for PS4, Vita and PC sometime soon. I think it could be this fall or early next year because the remaster was mentioned in 2013 when Disney acquired LucasArts. That seems to me plenty of time to get it done by late 2014 or early 2015. I'm hoping anyway. 

    In my dream, Pixlbit had a store in the real world that was part internet cafe, arcade, toy store, water park, and hotel. Here's what happened.

    So what about July. We're a week into it already. I had thought there was nothing special this month to interest me, but after looking over the release schedule on allgame.com and Metacritic, I found several games I'm excited about. It goes to show, that sometimes games just appear out of the ether last minute like this.

     I almost completed Valiant Hearts: The Great War this weekend. I came up two achievements short of it. I’m down to two collectibles left for the all collectibles achievement, and I need the one for the rhythm game. The rhythm one will be the toughest, but not that tough compared to others I’ve done. It’s pretty short and I should get it after a few tries, but that’ll have to wait ‘til next weekend.

     No gaming for me today. You would think I would have something else to do, but I really don’t. I could go hiking (tired from work – nah), read a book (did that already), see a movie (may still do that. I heard How to Train Your Dragon 2 is good but Transformers is on IMAX 3D. I may do that instead), play some music (don’t want to be cooped up doing that unless I had someone to jam with, and I don’t, band mate moved to Maine), play Tearaway on my Vita (somehow I want something more meaty to do), or hang out with friends (my only friend right now is my gaming buddy Mark and he’s busy with his girlfriend – BAH!). So I’m doing the only other thing I do on a lonely day, type this stuff at my favorite coffee shop,  get wired on coffee, and try to think about gaming – or writing – or anything really.
