I was excited for this when it came out. I thought it might be a spiritual sucessor to Mad World. I'm pretty sure I have a copy of it around here somewhere. I need to play it finally.
I still have a vivid memory of chasing down that pizza delivery guy on the scooter. Also, I bought that box set of music from the game. I love the radio DJ on the metal disc. That's some funny stuff.

Yea, it's like an old musket that's stuffed with gunpowder and lighted with a matchlock - clouds of smoke. I guess that's sorta 17th century.
I'm going to try Port Royale 3 this weekend, that is if I can keep the Destiny stuff at bay for at least part of my weekend, and then I'll play Dark Angel. I may even try and get to Dark Angel at home this week, but I'm not confident I'll find the weekday time.
I saw the Soul Calibur games on a list, but I'm not much of a fighting game fan unless it's Clayfighter or something silly.
Ooo, Breath of FIre. I have the GBA version but it refuses to boot up. Prob just needs a cleaning.
Yea, the Gothic thing coming from medieval times is totally not from actual medieval times but from the modern (meaning 18th c and up) perception of it being The Dark Ages and all that. Also, I've read it's also about opinions of the Catholic religion and their "creepy" rituals. And speaking of which, I saw and heard lots of references to medieval times Catholic stuff in the new Dark Souls III trailers I just watched: bosses which looked strangely like priests and music right out of a church service.
I didn't like Doom 3 much either, but a dumb new Doom. Oh, count me in. I hope it's good like Wolfenstein: New Order.
It actually came to 3.5 hours. I wrote the blog at the 2 hour mark thinking it was going to finish soon. Nope.
