Thanks everyone :)
Thanks everyone :)
Thanks Matt! Also, here's the posting on Nintendo: http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/pixlcross-wii-u
The release will be staggered across regions (still finishing up the text extraction). We're aiming for mid-May for Europe/Australia and Japan is still up in the air. We're currently talking with a publisher and have agreed on the terms of the contract, but still haven't officially inked the deal.
Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day!
I believe you typically get extra Picrites. Plays into the whole F2P nature of the game, I suppose. For us, time counts toward the total completion percent of the game, but not for anything else. If you complete 50% of the game, you'll unlock the Bonus puzzles, which are stupid hard.
There's also no progression gates in PixlCross, you can play any puzzle you want in the game (with the exception of Bonus). So if you're a more experienced player you can just skip to the Medium or Hard puzzles and get a tougher challenge out of the gate.
Thanks Peter! Super excited for everyone to give it a go.
Haha, I just bought that same mouse! It's actually a phenomenal mouse for the ridiculously cheap price it was sold at. Very very happy with it. The quick DPI switch on it is also really nice for coming in and out of games where you typically have the DPI up higher.
Thanks Cary! Looking forward to your eventual review. Thankfully we were able to use the extended Lotcheck cycle with Nintendo to really improve the game. And in the future, I better understand how to navigate Nintendo's processes and code. The base of this game will be used to create the next, which makes things a whole lot easier.
Me too, thanks man! It's been a long time coming. Now hopefully it sells decently and we make a few bucks for our troubles.
Unfortunately, we're not at this time. The game is written in HTML5/Javascript on Nintendo Web Framework, which is (at this time) only available on the Wii U. There was rumor of it coming to New 3DS, but that hasn't ever come to fruition. If NWF does make the jump to N3DS, we'll definitely be targeting a release there in the future.
I realized a long time ago that the Grammys aren't really interested or concerned with the music I tend to like, so I stopped caring back then. I did just look at their Metal award and that wouldn't be my personal choice (don't even like the track), but my choice and theirs never line up anyway.
