I think it was GOW 3 that had some of the best fighting, but there wasn't enough of it because of all those cinematic quick-time-events and cutscenes. 1 and 2 are where it's at.

I've heard a lot of criticism but if it's popular, that's a good thing. It's sure fun getting the alert level up and battling like crazy against the swarms of enemy forces.
I just watched IGN's review of Wargroove. I'm excited to play it.

Impossible to get too subdued in a SHMUP. Funny though if there were slow cutscenes in between the action.
Fun tune. I want the rock band of my imagination to play it.
